Tips & Strategies

What are tips for yutyrannus? Tips and strategies for yutyrannus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
It kinda looks like an Allo with feathers. Kinda cute. Ima go pet it, and holy sh*t it's not cute! Run for your life!
Surprisingly you can net the yutyrannus (saved me many times)
All you need to do is just get the high ground
Once tamed, upgrade stamina if you chose a low level individual. Their roar takes a lot of stamina, so higher levels are recommended. If you can get a lot, you can position them surrounding your base, and they will roar at any attackers that come too close, weakening them and even scaring them off.
Doesn't eat for a while after knockout. BE PATIENT
Build trap around it's feet when using nets, the feet are the center point for determining if it is trapped ir not. Also works for theris. Already suffered quite a bit for not following this myself.
- Vinícius.
You can avoid his deafening roar by running or flying behind his back while Yutyrannus strike the pose that he'll roar.(In case you don't want you tame to get killed by those carnos)
Can someone please explain to me how hugging this thing insta tames it??? Love it but scared the crap out of me
WHAT THE HECK IS A X-DINO
-a very confused Toad
Sprints slightly faster than an allo, easy to maneuver, can go over obsticles similar to an allo, stamina drain and recovery somewhat similar to allo, slightly more than a Spino and slightly less than a Rex with damage per hit, health and weight equivalent to a Rex, one of the roars can scare off almost all dinos (some need to be roared at more than once) which is great for protecting an unconcious tame, the other roar bolsters the combat prowess of nearby tames and can temporarily make wild carnos an ally. Yutyrannus is an amazing mount to have. There are a few cons though. Very slow attack speed, if standing still you have to wait for the attack to finish before you can move again (sounds silly but try it and see what I mean), has a lower starting melee damage percentage when tamed and gains less per lvl when compared to mounts of similar size (ex. Yutyrannus starts with about 260% and gains about 4-5% per lvl up, Rex starts with about 330% and gains about 5-6% per lvl up), low dps.
You're pretty much always going to need a trap for the higher level ones; they will run a million miles when they realize they're getting knocked out!
The best way I have found to tame these guys is with 4 stone foundation walls. 2 stone wall high on each side.and one side have ramps. Kill all the car is with it. Shoot the Yuri from a distance and lure it up the ramp and in the cage. Done deal.
Be careful encountering these on a high mountain while on a non flying tame. Long story short your tame will get so scared it'll jump off and commit suicide. Its roar is no joke....
