Chapter 4
- HGA ttg The Nazgûl
“Captain Slither, the last group of captives has just arrived.” This came from a wyvern who Slither had sent out a couple days ago to get wyverns for Draco’s army.
“Gather the prisoners together, I will come out in a moment.” Slither has been ordered by Draco to build him an army. Frankly, Slither knew nothing of warfare, but he was glad to have a position of power. A wyvern of his size was not necessarily intimidating, so being in charge meant the world to him. Slither exited the small cave as the rest of the prisoners were presented before him. “Welcome wyverns. Today is the day of your potential freedom. It is actually quite simple. You can either join our forces, or, you can be sent back into prison where you will await your demise when we need to feed our troops.”
“We are not afraid of you, tiny.” This came from a slightly larger wyvern near the center of the group. Although Slither was a little frightened, he had his guards, two brutish wyverns who were quite large, black, with deep red eyes. They were not the most intelligent, but they were strong. The larger wyvern however did not seemed the slightest bit concerned with them. He moved forward slowly as he continued speaking. “What makes you think we will just bow down to you? We could easily overtake you and your guards.”
“What makes you think that you won’t?” a voice thundered from deeper down the trench. All of the wyverns froze. Suddenly, a sound like thunder came forth, almost rhythmically. It wasn’t until the shape of a wyvern passed overhead that they all realized that it was the sound of wings. The massive wyvern landed on the ridge, its head eclipsing the sun. “You will either serve, or you will meet your demise. Do not be afraid. I understand this is a tense situation and a hard decision. You have a day to decide.” With that, the wyvern departed and the prisoners were put back in their cages.
Journey: Chapter 5
Forest couldn’t hear anything, and the only thing he saw beside the light was his backpack in his grip and he wasn’t letting go of it. He tried to call out for someone but… He couldn’t, he tried his hardest but nothing came out of his mouth. He couldn’t even feel his mouth move.
Then, the light disappeared and he saw an Island and he could feel he was falling, he could see the island getting bigger and bigger and see a beach that he was going to and it all went black…
Forest woke up on a beach in the middle of the night. He was dazed and confused, he couldn’t remember what had just happened, all he remembered was getting a hole ready to put the… It was right in front of him and he screamed so loud he could be heard for a mile.
The Rune, it was with him. He remembered what had happened just before he woke up. Rust had been trying to break the rune using the terminal for the obelisk and he went through with it. It sent him in a big beam of light and he ended up here. He felt lightheaded, his eyes began to blur before everything went black.
He woke up a few minutes later and he hoped what happened was a dream, but the rune was still there. He wondered how it survived hitting the terminal. He also saw his backpack in his talons, he quickly got the rune stuffed into his backpack, and headed off into the jungle.
If he saw Rust, he was going to throw him to some leeches and then throw him in the ocean. And hope he would get bit up by piranhas.
He couldn’t believe that he was going to such a low to think like Crimson would. But he thought the rest would also if it happened to them, if not stoop even lower for what Rust just did. Doing it in fun or not, he could’ve killed anyone of them even after hearing Nyx tell him not to do it. And she and her tribe had the most knowledge about the runes, if she said it was dangerous, It Was DANGEROUS!
All he hoped for now though was that he wasn’t thrown too far away from the Green Obelisk. He didn’t want to miss the celebration.

The day was sunny. The day was bright. There were no clouds in sight. All that filled the skies was the light that poured in from the sun. It seemed like the perfect day. After all, for dear Samuel, it would be his last day at the confines of Terran High. The last day he’d have to spend in a hell that he called school.
Samuel was standing amongst a crowd, along with many other waiting graduates, each one wearing a black gown and graduation cap. They were watching the stage with anticipation, eager for the big moment.
“Are you excited?”
Samuel turned around, facing one of his closest friends, Nova. Nova had a big smile on her face, and her long black hair fell all the way down to her chest. Samuel had become friends with Nova during their freshman years, when they were paired next to each other in English. Samuel had forgotten his pencil at home accidentally, so he borrowed one from Nova, and thus blossomed their friendship. Samuel never really got close to anyone else after that, Nova was Samuel’s greatest friend, and no one could surpass her.
“Well, of course I’m excited! After we finally get our diplomas, we can get outta here and do whatever we want! We won’t have to wake up so early for school and stay up so late for homework, it’ll be like heaven!” Samuel answered.
“That does sound pretty cool, but things will be so boring now! We won’t see any more school fights or get any juicy gossip!” Nova complained.
“Uh huh, since that’s the most interesting thing in the world,” Samuel replied with a hint of sarcasm, rolling his eyes.
Before Nova could talk, someone walked up to the microphone and tapped on it, startling a large majority of the crowd. Standing on the stage was Mr. Mo, their principal. He was looking extra nice today, with his gray suit complementing his blue tie and combed back gray hair. He had many wrinkles across his face, and he had a jagged scar running down his eye. Many people always asked how he got that scar. He would always reply,
“When I was little, I would scratch my face whenever I got itchy, and one day I scratched a little too hard.”
Some speculated that that wasn’t the case, and that he got into a fight and that’s how he got it, but who knows? Samuel didn’t think it mattered anyway. He probably would never visit this school again, so it’s not like he needed to know how he got that scar.
Samuel’s thoughts were interrupted by Mr. Mo’s abrupt speech.
“Attention everyone. It truly has been a wild ride for all of you, huh? You spent the past 12 years, and now here you are, ready to move onto a new chapter and become men and women. You all worked hard to get here, and I applaud you for that. But now it’s time for you all to move on to a bigger future. It might sound scary, but I’m sure you all will do well as long as you put your heart into it. That’s all I have to say, now I’ll pass the mic onto our valedictorian, Aurora Romero!”
Everyone erupted into applause, cheers, and whistles as Mr. Mo stepped off the stage. Soon, a girl with glittering dark brown hair stepped onto the stage. Unlike the other graduates, she wore a white gown and white cap, and she had a red plume which reached all the way down to her shoulders. Her walk was elegant and filled with confidence.
“Seriously, take a look at this girl!” Nova groaned, “She got a 4.80 GPA. How is that even possible?! Does she not have a life or something? And she’s the best on the tennis team too, there’s no way she didn’t cheat on her finals!”
“Now, it’s not that big a deal. I know you always tried your hardest,” Samuel comforted her.
“It just doesn’t make sense, she’s naturally talented, it’s not fair!” Nova complained. Nova stopped talking, and looked back at Aurora with a pissed off look on her face. As Aurora began to speak in the microphone, a few girls in the crowd were cheering her on.

Chapter three

Talia awoke the next morning, the sun cast its bright orange light through the cave she lived in. Talia yawned and flexed her large scaly wings. “Another day of pure pleasure.” Talia whispered to herself. Though she was all alone in the forest she never felt lonely. No restrictions and no laws, she was a free wyvern not bound to anyone or anything. Talia’s stomach growled loudly. “I’m starving.” Talia said to herself. She leapt from the cave opening and soared high above the trees, peering down at the ground below. Then she spotted it. A phiomia waddling around. Talia ran her tongue over her fangs. “Looks good to me.” She dived down as fast as fast can be and closed her talons over the young creature’s body. A loud piglike squeal ran through the air. And then stopped. Talia licked the fresh blood from her mouth and sighed. “Ahh…perfect.” She whispered to herself. Then Talia took flight again, weaving back and forth between the trees. Suddenly something hit her out of thin air. Whatever it was slammed her against a rock, gripping her with her claws to keep her there. When Talia looked at them to see what they were she was shocked. A enormous wyvern with shining black scales and cold red eyes. “You’re a-a wyvern!” Talia exclaimed. She thought she was the only one! Her attacker cocked his head and faced her with his dark eyes. “Yes and I have come with orders from KING Draco to bring you and every stray wyvern to his castle.” He said. “King?” Talia asked. The mysterious wyvern lifted his head and flexed his wings proudly. “Yes. I work for the great King Draco himself and have come to bring you in. ” He said haughtily. Talia scowled. “I don’t know who this “Draco” is but I am not coming with you!” Talia growled. The wyvern’s snout twitched with amusement and anger. “Wrong choice.”
Immediately two more wyverns swooped down to join them. “Come. We will take her to KING Draco along with the other prisoners so that he can….sort a few things out.” The leader wyvern instructed. They advanced on Talia. She bared her teeth and snarled at them but they quickly apprehended her. “Where are you taking me?!?!” Talia snarled as they dragged her away. “To King Draco’s palace of course where you will choose your fate.” The lead wyvern said, sneering. Talia didn’t know who King Draco was but she didn’t think she would like him. She didn’t know how right she was.

Part 2/2
“Greetings, fellow students. It truly is an honor to be your valedictorian, to be here standing in front of you to give you my thanks. My appreciation goes out to my parents who supported me my entire life, my teachers who helped me get to where I needed to be, to my friends who were there whenever I felt lost and hopeless,” Aurora paused, as she seemed to be contemplating if she should keep on going. “And to my boyfriend, who I will never forget. He may not be with us anymore, but he’s the reason that I have a future now.”
Everyone went silent, as they seemed to be giving her a moment of silence to mourn. Not even Nova scoffed, as she looked on solemnly.
“But, enough of me. Mr. Mo is right. Starting today, we move onto a new chapter of our lives. We’re going to need to tough it out, because life won’t be so easy now. You think high school is hard? Just wait until you get a job! That’s what my parents would say, at least.”
“She’s gotta be kidding,” Samuel muttered as he turned white.
“And even if you weren’t the greatest student, it shouldn’t stop you from being a good person. You can do it, you can do whatever you want to do, just let your heart and mind lead the way, and you will always succeed. Life is hard, and tough times will come, but tough people will last,” Aurora closed her eyes and smiled, rubbing her eyes a little as she said, “That’s all for now.”
As Aurora stepped away from the microphone, Mr. Mo ran up and grabbed the microphone.
“What are you guys waiting for? Get ready to throw your caps up in the air!”
Everyone began to murmur in excitement, as they took hold of their caps.
“TEN! NINE! EIGHT!”
The soon-to-be adults began to chant the countdown along with Mr. Mo. Samuel and Nova joined in too, smiles growing on their faces.
“SEVEN! SIX! FIVE!”
The screaming grew louder and louder to the point that Samuel’s ears started to hurt.
“FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE-”
Suddenly Mr. Mo let out a loud gasp of pain, as he fell to his knees, clutching his wrist. Everyone stopped the countdown, and whispers began to radiate throughout the crowd.
“What’s going on? What happened to Mr. Mo?” the people asked. Just at that moment, Aurora screamed out too, visible pain across her face as her wrist began to bleed. As soon as Aurora started to cry out in pain, many more people in the crowd began to feel it too. By the dozen, everyone was writhing around, an unexplainable pain in their left wrist.
“AGHHHH!” Nova screamed as she fell. Samuel caught her, yelling, “Don’t worry, I got you!”
The sky above them suddenly began to generate clouds, and the blazing ball of fire they called the Sun began to move around the sky at an alarming rate. The sky seemed to be generating streaks of red, blue, and green, spinning around in a triangle and aiming right down at them.
Samuel looked up in horror as a bright light enveloped everyone, and before he knew it his conscience slipped away.

Chapter one.
-by SunnyFox57
Talia was a wyvern. An ordinary wyvern. Nothing special in her opinion. She had lived alone her entire life, always on the run from hunters or scientists. She had never known her parents or her family so she didn’t miss them much. She thought she was nothing special. How wrong she was…
Talia flew through the redwoods forest, dodging large trees and flying creatures. The wind blew strongly because there was a lot of trees. But Talia was not cold, her scales protected her from the coldest winds. She weaved back and forth like a dragonfly, dodging trees what got in her path. Sure, it would be easier to just burn the trees down or knock them down but Talia preferred it this way. Ever since she was a young wyvern she had dreamed of being a hero. She’d heard stories from traveling archaeopteryx bards about the old days before the island called Ragnorak was where it was now. They said there was wyvern tribes and that they ruled Ragnorak and brought peace to it. No hunters. No scientists. Just wyverns, bringing peace to the island and all that lived on it. Of course that couldn’t be true. The island of Ragnorak couldn’t have been ruled by wyverns. It wasn’t possible. Was it? Talia finally came to her tree house. Made from a giant redwoods tree that she had bent the top branches to make a small cave at the top, it was Talia’s home if she could call it that. She entered the cave and folded her wings by her sides. She sighed. “Home sweet home.” Talia whispered. It was humble and lowly but it would do. Then she curled up in a ball with her wings around her and fell asleep to a land she wished she could be in.
Fire and Fangs Chapter Two
- HGA ttg The Nazgûl
Slither flew over the trenches of the lava covered north of the island of Ragnarok. He always enjoyed searching the trenches for various pieces of treasure. He had recently heard a rumor of a cave at the source of the lava river that flowed through the trenches. As he scanned the area below, he spotted it. It was a small hole in the back of the trench. Luckily for Slither, he was on the small side and had an easy time wiggling through the hole. The cave was dark, as no sunlight could get in. Slither ignited a fire in his through so he could see. The walls were made of obsidian, as expected. However, one wall caught his attention. It was just as deep a black as the obsidian walls, but it was not smooth. It almost resembled dragon scales. Slither, being easily frightened and the wall making him slightly nervous, began to turn around to leave. But, the moment he started moving, the wall began to move. It was quite obvious that this was a living dragon. He sat there in panic as he watched the beast. He saw what looked like a claw and he turned and on the other side of the cave he saw the tale. The creature was clearly much bigger than any wyvern he had seen. It was then that he heard a voice. “Who are you?”
“S-S-Slither.” Slither responded. The voice was deep and almost soft, yet possessed a strong hint of cunning and rage. Slither only ever described it from that point on as pure evil. “Who are you?” Slither asked, managing to get it out without a stutter. The beast was still circling the cave and Slither had yet to locate its head.
“I am a wyvern like yourself. Perhaps you have heard of me in legend, though I doubt my true self was left in those legends.” Slither recalled the legends of the larger wyverns of the past and he feared he knew now who this beast was. “In due time, all creatures on this island will be filled with a new fear. The fear of me.” At this moment Slither’s fire illuminated the creatures face. He could only see one eye. It was glossy white, likely, if the legends were true, from being struck in the face. As it moved its head closer and a fire began to kindle in its throat, the sound of raw power, strength, and anything dark and evil came out in its voice as it finished. “THE FEAR OF DRACO!”
