Found one of these roaming around, they'll spawn anywhere one at a time. Taming them is relatively easy just have veggies, berries or even sweet veggie cake on hand (RIP mobile players, also remember that ARK mobile isn't made by wildcard so stop whining). You'll need to buff their health since a single raptor can easily kill one. You'll most likely find them alone but you can sometimes find them with Eqqus. Cryo pod them if you can since it lowers your chance of losing it (Unless you have bad luck with pegos)

When I was playing PvP I encountered him in red woods but don't have the stuffs to tame even if I tamed it somehow anyone won't let me keep it for a while

If you find it in mobile and don’t have a griffin, just ignore him, you can only tame it with griffin kibble

I thought it was a normal equus and killed it. I realized it was a unicorn. Few minutes later me and my pteranodon got killed by griffins.

If unicorn dies in your world it doesn't spawn again but their are chances that if you tidy save it spawn again on your world. I hope it helped you .On PC you can to wild Dino clear

Unicorn is not the rarest dino because when you find other dino to tame it will become rarest

Only two ever spawn in world, if you kill either of the pair they will never respawn or spawn more. So be careful and do your best to grab it while you have the chance. One male and one female, lvl shouldn’t really matter since in essence they are just special skin horses. They tame the same way too, ride it and feed it. No idea where they spawn but they spawn everywhere. Raid herbivore island and wait for the spawn. It took about 3irl days for this to work and it messed up when the power went out for a split second.

On mobile I dont Think you can name them

Ark devs pls fix! In ark mobile u can ONLY use Griffin kibble to tame, but I'm playing on the island map and griffin's are not in the island map, do I cant Tame a unicorn :( please fix this!

Where can I find them I have looked everywhere also I play on Nintendo and for the longest time I couldn’t even find equs so I bet it’s even harder to find a unicorn but anyways if anyone knows a location can y’all write it on encountering please it’s my dream to eat there unicorn turds so I can see rainbowwwwssss
