Tales of Bigfoot Chapter 1

Most people think I am a monster or some sort of gorilla creature. They think I am an aggressive, carnivorous creature. Those who have met me however, realize that I am just a man trying to survive this island of which I have been trapped on for some unknown reason. I am Bigfoot, and this is the story of my great adventure.

I woke up on an uncharted beach. I didn’t know where I was or even who I was. But the strangest thing about this was the object that I found was embedded in my arm. While I was curious as to what the object was, I decided it was more important to focus on the matter at hand. I was on a beach with a dinosaur standing no more than twenty yards away from me. It was very frightening at first seeing a creature so large, but I quickly discovered it was no more than a friendly parasaur. Now what I didn’t discover so quickly as I would have wished to, was the dilophosaurus creeping up behind me. Before I knew it, I had been bit in the back by sharp teeth that were not willing to let go. I grabbed the creature that was only half my size and threw it off of me while quickly turning around to see what had dared to attack me. Dilophosauruses may be small, but must be handled skillfully if you are not properly prepared. Therefore, I decided it would be best if I ran away before the vicious creature tore me in two. I was lucky to be faster than it, and I was even luckier to find a small wooden shack built up on a nearby hill. It was getting late and cold, so I figured I should probably go and ask if I may stay for the night. After knocking on the door, I was greeted by a small yet friendly man known simply as Tiny. Tiny immediately let me in and gave me simple clothing while also telling me it is very shameful to walk around in my underpants. (What else was I supposed to do, given all that had happened in such a short period of time?) After sitting around a warm stone fireplace and munching on assorted berries for a short while, another man who appeared to be the leader of the group entered the shack with his pockets full of metal chunks and large shards of crystals. Quickly after seeing me, he pulled out a deadly shotgun and asked why an unwanted intruder had entered his base. Tiny immediately explained that he had found me cold and naked, and that he decided to give me “a head start” as he called it. I also replied, saying that I shall cause no trouble and would only like to stay for the night. The man with the shotgun agreed and warned me about if I tried to steal anything.

The next morning, I woke up way later than the other two, but was woken by Tiny telling me that Longinus wanted me.

“Who is Longimus?” I asked.

“Longimus is the leader. Who else would I be talking about?”

Since I didn’t want to get on Longimus’s bad side, I rushed to the main room quickly.

“If you are going to stay in my house, you may as well make yourself useful.” Said the tall, skinny one named Longimus.

“How?” I replied, “I don’t have anything that could be of any use to you.”

Just then, Longimus slid a crude, stone hatchet toward me on the other side of the table.

“Go cut down the trees nearby and leave the wood in the storage box near the fireplace.”

I grabbed the small axe and approached the door.

“Oh, and one more thing. Be careful of any raptors that may be outside.”

With this in mind, I set off to cut trees with my new tool. This proved very easy, and I very quickly filled the storage box with as much wood as it could hold, which was not very much. After this I decided that I should establish a means of defending myself, so I gathered more wood, some fiber, and a few pieces of flint to create a bow and thirty arrows. I felt I could take down anything with this hand-crafted bow, and yet I knew this was not the case. Then I noticed Longimus and Tiny riding a large Triceratops, so I decided to go see what they were up to.

“You can never have enough metal, Bigfoot.” Longimus told me.

“So, does that mean you are going to get more?”

Upon saying this, I got an intimidating glare from Longimus, almost as if he were telling me that it was obvious. I looked away, pretending not to notice and only asked that I might accompany them.

“You may, but you will have to walk. There is no more room on the Trike.”

I nodded to let him know I understood and followed at the side of the triceratops as we moved on deeper in the jungle.

In case you didn’t know, Bigfoot is the name of my survivor in Ark.

Tiny is my younger brother and Longimus is my older brother. This story I am writing is basically what I imagine it would be like if we went through every official map.
