If you are early game MUST TAME you may think I’m crazy but use a large bear trap (very cheap) and with a crossbow it will take around 10-20 tranq arrows make sure you have tons of narcotic and tame this up it will kill anything you want it too so Caron’s and raptors are not threat.

Best Dino for wood gathering. They also pack a pretty nice punch. Take any Bertie besides narco and stim, and have very nice turn

It says that you need just a couple arrows for a level 11 I died but the most important thing is that my base was near and I got the narcotics and tamed it and I accidentally killed a female level 9 to breed cause I was getting xp on the beach and I one hit it tame a low level with darts and you have to have a trap and grab at least 10 narcotics for a low level

Coming from someone who is absolutely awful at combat in this game listen to this:

I jumped on a rock and shot about 10 (all) of my tranqs arrows into him and realized I forgot to bring narcotics with me- therizino began to flee from me so my only choice was to ditch my turtle and knock him out with my fists #epicgamermoment

If you have train carriers use them takes about 10 and make sure she’s distracted

This thing deadly, as a noob I look at one turn my back, insta dead. Happened like three times. Now, as lv 37 I’m looking for this guy to hunt and I can’t find any. -_- the point is they at as dangerous at like 5 spino or maybe it’s cuz I’m on brutal mode lol

Seriously everyone says these are dangerous and aggressive, hers the truth: they only attack if you go right up to them, just stay away from them!

I saw a 150 and was happy asf so I knocked it out which was around a whole ark day then out of no where a raptor kills me and kills the level 150 Dino : (

Easy just use yranq arrow just forward and start to running away from you if its is a level 20 it long you need 105 narcotics/hour juring the tame

For low lvl : If you've encounter a thera and nearby with a beach at the moment, I would recommend you to lure it into the sea with raft(unless you want to die with it) and the Thera would be preyed by pack of megalodons

If you want to tame, all you need are 15 tranq arrows, a bow, crops/berries, 80 bio toxins and a tank tame (optional).

First, if you brought a tame with a lot of health, place it near the theri on passive mode and run. Once the theri sees your tame, it will start attacking it, hence why I said to bring a tank. Start shooting it with tranq while it's distracted. If you did this right, the theri will not go after you. Once it falls, the long wait starts. Load it up with rockarrots, berries, biotoxins (bc it's torpor falls very fast) and voila! You have a theri.

Requirements to tame:

Tranq darts and at least a ramshackle rifle(so you don’t kill it),

A farm,

Bio toxin (better than normal narcs),

spike walls, At least 8.

And saddle. Primitive saddle/engram saddle unlocks at level 69

Optional:

Soothing balm,

Sleeping bag, (good trick on mobile is to feed it 2-3 bio toxin then sleep right after, then feed it again 3-7 this time then sleep)

Ascendant Bow and Toxicant arrows,

And a mortal and pestle(if you think you might run out of narcs)

My first ever hatched dino. Even on an easy world(just new to the game back then) it is easy to hatch this little guy. The baby’s cute. But it’ll be a beast with imprinting.

These are the one of the best utility Dino’s because it can harvest meat and berries. It also can harvest other goodies

It might just be me but it seem to eat the blue and the yellow berries more when I was taming it (need 200 narcotics too lol)

So... My tribe and I just formed, uk chillin n gathering, we're low lvks at this point. So I took Razor(saber), to gather some pearls along the beach. I was gathering pearls with razor nonchalantly, uk doodlie doodlie Doo, whistling when I saw the dangerous area sign pop up, but uk I dismissed it. Now as I'm about to take my 1000 pearls I got, FROM THE BEACH!!, (takes long af), back to base, I look left and what do I see, 6 HUGE!! Claws in front of my dilated pupils, I say well damn, razor, this is the end for us. As soon as the theri dig his claws into my chest and I went flying in the ocean, razor fought back. As soon as he hit the theri, the theri wife came. I shed a year in frustration, cursing those theris as our tribes saber R.I.P. I thought they were done, but as soon as they killed saber, they looked at me and I said, oof. I was killed, Razor was killed, dnt dismiss warnings on the beach guys.

This and a moschops basically gather every resource in the game apart from things from rocks and I mean ark mobile so you just need a therizino a moschops and a ankylo or a doedic

If you want to tame one you should probably get on to a high place where it can't get to and use a soothing balm to make it so you don't many narcotics
