If you get a good vantage point these are not too hard to get down. Once down make sure you have narcotics!

If you know what you're doing these things are the gods of gathering chitin. On Xbox press down on the right analog stick in a crowd of a dead leeches and they gather an insane amount of stacks. Make sure to level delicate Gathering though for better results.

These guy are though to lose on a ground mount and they are common. I also HATE THEM, but once tamed, they are great defense

I took my lvl 50 and killed a lvl 45 bronto, and killed and level 30 carno in a matter of seconds, I recommend getting 2 of them, 1 for fighting and one for harvesting, 1000s of fiber in seconds, hundreds of berries in seconds and 200+Wood with one attack (lvl 70) even the low levels wreck.

Make sure to have plenty of narcotics and time, if playing on a multi-player server you might want to take shifts taming with other tribe members who will use it.

A mounted direwolf can kill a Rex if the rider knows what to do.

Use a large bear trap. It should hold it in place long enough for you to unload tranq arrows into it. Just be carefull of other nearby zinos

Barely spawn in the north snowy area do not try to fight it shotguns barely hurt the thing if you see one and it saw you do not try to fight it with mount if you can get a wood shield so if you do get hit it knocks you back so you can make a run for it

Tamed a lvl80 took 6 hours on standard taming Speed, doing a 150 now on 1.5, best way to tame is build a 1x1 behemoth pen stick a lid of stone windows 3 high on a door drop one in there and shoot through the windows, keeps it close to base and easy to keep an eye on, just make sure your quetz can handle the damage

If you dont want to see one of these every minute dont go live in the forest near the red obelisk

My friend came up to me with this Dino and used the fibre collecting attack and said fiddle diddle. Best Dino 10/10 would tame again.

Don't try AIDS taming rate and it shreds the fuck out of armor

When attempting to tame one of these bad boys, make sure you have at least a crossbow. My tribes mate and eye tried to knock it out with a set of journey man bows and it took like 100 tranq arrows. To actually get it down before it shreds you just simply get on a steep slope or rock and shoot it. Make sure you have a fast mount because if it starts to run, it will run fast! When it's down, try to create wooden spikes to build around it to keep it safe, it's going to be a long tame. Make sure you have plenty of narcotics as the amount it says on here isn't always right. I tamed a lvl 5 therizino and it took over 300 narcotics.... not the amount it said. This guy has a very low torpor so you need to stick with it and either kibble it or use crops,berrys or mejos. After taming the therizino will become your Rex killing, rare flower and fibre gathering beaver that tickles you with its fingers.
