They are a mix of a raptor and a dodo and they are also a upgrade from an raptor

The Terror Bird is a great scout. It's high speed and ability to glide makes it useful for escaping other predators. However, it does have pretty low weight, and sometimes low health, so I would level up its weight capacity and it's health. ( But that's for the Terror Birds I found, as they had low weight and slightly low health. If you find ones that are better, mine might be weak or a lower level, so do as you want! I hope this info was a bit helpful :D )

Fun fact: they can actually glide of clifs and mountains(and everything else)

They are so annoying,you can't take a break in the redwoods. But they are a good mount fast,good stamina, average health and they glide ability.

They can be picked up by an argentavis.

They glide! Sort of. Jump and hold space bar down. Flutters gently to the ground with those baby wings. Fun tame around.

It is pretty much a raptor that can glide through the air. The thing is that it isn't an early tame, which is why it is less useful. Since it's a harder tame than a raptor, you can better tame a carno at that point.

These make decent scouting mounts. They're relatively quick & their ability to glide by holding the jump button can get you out of some sticky situations that wouldn't be possible on a raptor (jumping from a cliff to escape predators). I suggest leveling in Health, Stamina, & Melee (Movement Speed as needed).

Get a good sniper with a scope and ride this thing like no tomorrow

Phorusrhacidae/Terror Birds: Kelenken, Gastornis, Phorusrhacos, Titanis, and Andalgornis.

If you can get a high level one and only pump health and melee damage they can make a decent cave runner and are very easy to find and tame

dont breed them in gigantoraptor saddle , if you plop them out of saddle , you cant cryo them till he is fully grown !!!

Good all around tame, useful early or late game for exploring terrain and caves. Water travel isn't the greatest but then again it's not a fish.

The Terror Bird is an excellent example of form over function. While it still outshines the Raptor in terms of raw stats, the exchange of a pack bonus for the glide ability is a tough trade. It doesn’t help that the Terror Bird is harder to find than the Raptor and that it’s completely unavailable on Aberration— where it would be arguably one of the map’s most valuable tames. Still, the Terror Bird remains my favorite creature (as it introduced me to ARK in the first place!) and serves great utility as a pet for companionship, like a very large and somewhat bald parrot.

To be honest I just use this for regular kibble…
