That are sow annoying but the way to tame one is get a argentavis a ptenarodon at least bring 30 trank arrows and 50 arrows just to be safe

Torpor drains fast so while they're asleep fill their inventory up with tons of junk so they cant run away once woken up

3 ways to tame them:

1. Make a stone trap (foundstion, doorframe, ramp, etc.). Get a bird, fly the bird, drag a dodo or a person around and make them bait. Without killing anyone the terror bird will be chasing you while you're flying in the air. Lure it into trap.

2. If you don't have a bird, you can solo it or do it with a friend. Find a terror bird. Start running to the trap. (Probably will die so put a bed in trap and respawn then repeat till bird gets trapped).

3. Bola it, shoot fast, bola it again before it tries attacking you or running away, shoot at it again.

TAKES AWHILE FOR THEM TO GO UNCONCIOUS. I once made the mistake and kept shooting as it took about 20 minutes for it to go unconcious it died from me shooting it too much.

YOU WILL NEED LOTS NARCOTICS!!!!

Super easy taming idea put a 2 by 2 stone trap next to your base then with a argentavis drop one of the buggers In there and boom your right next to your base and you can keep it safe like a pro

A terror bird is hard too tame due to being very fast and they come in trios. Plus you have other dangerous dinos they might aggro on you or them. Or they might aggro on the creature themselves. All you need are bolas, tranq arrows or club, prime meat or meat or if your lucky to find a sheep around since they mainly spawn in the redwoods of the island, you can give them mutton (raw or cooked).

BRING LOTS OF NARCOTICS. They literally lose half their unconscious state before they even start eating. I started to run out of narcotics so I filled up their unconcious bar and ran back to my house (which was really close by) to get more. By the time i got back it was long gone.

You can jump with them x for PlayStation a button I think on Xbox but that not the cool part if you jump from a higher place and hold that jump button they fly not well but it can help evading dangerous falls and they do travel aways before landing so more like gliding but very cool if you tame one it’s a must try.

Tip When they are hunting a animal like cornered on a rock stand at least 10 to 15 feet away with a crossbow at least 30 tranq arrows to be safe next start s hooting them from at least 11 feet while they are hunting a animal and killing it with a tranq arrow try aiming for the head if they are in packs try to be safe doing it

I'm voting Dodo I always treat them with respect because they are op they are the most rabid and deadly beast in all of ark run if you see one or treat it with respect and give it berries the best berries

I suggest Using Bola for this creature, then aim for the head. I just tamed one and it took me at least 7 T.Arrows in a row (Using Crossbow) It was lvl 2, but you should also get a lot of narcotics as its torpor drops REALLY swiftly. Almost lost my Terror Bird bc of that..(I’m Playing in Single Player)

Taming a terror bird won't be easy because they come in packs of 3. So if you want one of them just kill the other 2 and tame the one you want. Mainly to tame one you'll need bolas, tranq arrows or a club to knock it out. Its preferred kibble or raw meat works faster and mutton.

Not sure if others have this problem too, but I shot 30-40 tanq arrows at a level 40 terrorbird’s head and it refused to be knocked out. Moral of the story: if your bird refuses to be knocked out, don’t waste more arrows.

If you are having trouble getting enough narcotics for both tranq arrows and keeping it asleep like I did. You can use an equus to jump over a trap, then go in with your equus and knock it out using its kick. I like this method because I find that not much can go wrong when an equus go's 1v1 with this roid tweety. Just make sure your equus has enough points in stamina because fighting will drain its stamina quickly if your not careful. A trap is not required but it's good for keeping other mega chickens from intervening while you feed their buddy narcotics. And if you see that you are low on stamina while not using a trap then you are much better served trying to jump away rather than fight off a small pack.

If these guys attack you while carrying them with an argy just attack it and it’ll stop until you drop it.

Get pike recommend that is if you don’t want to get jumped by these they attack me in a pack with my bronto diplo and turtle it was easy they don’t have that much health
