Red woods saw 5 of um chasing a alpha raptor didn't stick around tho a bunch of crazy bugs attract me and I just tamed one of the birds

Great tame to use around redwood biome on the center map. Stamina drains at a steady pace and deals a nice amount of damage.

I found one in the southern jungle… they escaped the redwoods.

If you use yellow potent dust on it it can break doors instantly

Idk why people say they are killers just hola em than kill/knock out on my 100 day map I have a sword metal primitive and full flak and killed a whole pack btw ez tame

An error for sure... says this fits through a doorframe, but not a double doorframe? I think thats reversed; I have definitely tamed using a 4x4 doorframe trap, and other traps where a doorframe is the only point of accessible to tranq, no issues, no escapes.

Large aggro radius and travel in flocks, be careful!

If low lvl build a trap to lure them into using foundations, walls and ramps. They tend to prioritize wild herbivores over you so sometimes you can catch them distracted by a Trike or Stego and tranq them (make sure to kill or distract the Stego quick before it kills the birds).

If higher lvl, build flak armor and just facetank them while firing darts, they have low topor so usually 3-5 darts downs them with a primitive longneck. You could also use a tamed Rex or Spino to draw their aggro by dismounting and mounting then tranq them while they are distracted.

You see it an it sees you just give up it’s already over

The best way to tame one of these things it to try to pin them egenst a cliff and then bola it and shoot it in early game tranq arrows will work

They are always found with raptors a lot of raptors trust me 🤧 it was bad

I have lost so many dam dinos when taming others there a god dam pain especially early game

This is the most deadly dodo it can be found on redwood you can see them they can see you i die from this stay safe only day on redwood

Very annoying, aggressive creatures. Here's a few points:

They're basically raptors but with more health. Unlike raptors they don't get a pack bonus/boost.

They have a high torpor drop. You need berries or narcotics to keep them down.

They can fit through doors. A standered 4×4 doorway/ramp trap won't work.

They can be bola'd but take alot more hits than raptors.

They seem to like going after dead or knocked out creatures. I found this out the hard way!

They're fast, running away on foot is not an option.

These are a pain to tame but they are worth it, and the saddle is cheap

If you take about 4-5 they are really good. You can fly into battle with your pack following you and you will wreck Rex's

I’m not sure if this is a glitch or it’s what really happens but I usually carry one into a wooden taming pen and leave it there for a while. While waiting I go do random things, like kill a bunch of things at Carno Island/The Dead Island for some XP. After around 15-30 minutes I go back and knock it out and give it some Gallimimus Egg Kibble. As soon as I put the kibble in its inventory it tamed immediately. A new way to starve tame I guess? Also there were no corpses or anything in the pen to feed them.

On my xbox in lost Island i Killed THIS ALONE ONE ONLY Level 140 that was on the gloom island and it was hard but when i got one wooden spike thingy i killed it but i died so many times before i was enough leveled to learn the spike
