Terror birds are only really good for escaping dangerous conditions with there fast movement speed and their ability to flap there wings or known as gliding in the air.

These guys always are in a pack and all over the redwoods.If u need a quick getaway jump off a ledge big enough to damage u but not enough to kill u.They will glide all the way dowe until they reach the ground,in that time it takes RUN LIKE HELL.

If your trying to find these big versions or dodos I recommend looking around the redwoods. My base is there and every time I hear my dinosaurs attack it says “your Rex-lvl 87 - has killed a Terror Bird!

Be careful, you most likely won't be able to outrun one of these guys (even on a raptor). Two terror birds vs my 150+ pachy, raptor and parasaur ...my para and pachy died and by the time my raptor and I tried to outrun them but eventually killed them she was very low health. You can find these suckers everywhere. I've seen them on beaches, deserts and redwood forests.

I definitely think everyone should get one of these guys! They're very fast and can do lots of damage. They will complete your dino army.

These things are tougher and faster than they look. DO NOT fight them early in at all. If one aggros on you, jump onto a rock it cannot climb to confuse it, or run past something else it likes to eat.

terror birds terror birds terror birds. they are the 3rd most annoying animals in ark. ( after pegomastex and trodon ) they just run up to you and attack you. therefore making it hard to tame them. they all ways come in numbers of 2 to even 8+! maybe more! although they (maybe) don’t spawn in groups of 6+, they probably gang up with each other into big numbers. be very wary of their home.

Mf pink and purple nightmare literally pop up under your bed and are good mounts when it comes to recon for a new base

Imagine a more evolved, more agressive raptor with a powerful beak and tiny Wings that can't really fly but can Glide long distances.

If you need to somehow escape this nightmare, run into the water a while before it does. It slows it down, but it can still out swim you. If you get to the shore and book it before it does, you’ll lose it.

I recommend them for caving on scorched earth because they are fast and they can float backwards so you don’t fall in the parcore In the cave in the desert

IMO one if the best traversal mounts in the Island. They are extremely fast and can glide over vast distances and over obstacles, and when paired with a good saddle and good HP and damage investment, they can solo Rexes and Alpha Carnos with little issue.

They are also great in the Carno and Lava caves as they can get over the deadly gaps with little issue.

Want an epic sword that deals a whopping amount of damage? Just complete the hunt terror bird pursuit and behold your new sword! There is a crazy amount of these things in the redwood forest btw.

While their stats tend to be average they are super fun mounts. I love that they glide. Try and see for yourself.

Done canyon cave on Se and East lava on the island in less than 3 minutes with it :) just run and glide down. Then run up and you are done

A terror bird is hard too tame due to being very fast and they come in trios. Plus you have other dangerous dinos they might aggro on you or them. Or they might aggro on the creature themselves. All you need are bolas, tranq arrows or club, prime meat or meat or if your lucky to find a sheep around since they mainly spawn in the redwoods of the island, you can give them mutton (raw or cooked).

Bruh I was casually passing by on redwoods with my ptera and then he was running out of stamina so I was forced to lay somewhere in the darkness as it was night, and like 30 of this appear and me and my ptera are bird food

Found in red woods but THEY CAN KILL ALMOST ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY TRAVEL IN GROUPS!!!So if you want to tame them try to separate them but it’s hard

Don’t see it or it will hunt you down

I easily killed one of these guys with a metal pick. Careful though, these guys can be dangerous when they’re in packs.
