Even though this guy is harder than every other boss on the map even though he is a miniboss, you can cheese him really easily! You only need a velonsaur and grappling hooks. Before you summon him, use the grappling hooks get to a high ledge in the arena and put your velo there, once you summon him, go grapple back to your velo and start shooting him. he cannot reach you. Back up into a safe place when he begins to pile all of his stuff into one ball, that is his ranged attack. after he throws it at you, go back and repeat. He drops 30 element and some nice loot.

A good way to defeat this bear is to use velonosaurs as they do enough damage to bring it down, you can also use gigas and rock elementals. If your on your own without dinos you can use a rocket launcher with homing missiles while being grappled to a wall with a crossbow and grapples as this works quite well too..
the bear is like a golem so use a velonasaur.
Don't use rexes trust me, my 1000 melee rexs were doing 94 damage.... it has 300k hp
20 1k Maylee shadowmanes each doing 50 damage
U was there for 2 hours
The bear necessities are not necessary here
I’d recommend something small like deinonychus or carnos
Magmasaurs, gigas, rock golems, and velonasaurs all do pretty good or so ive heard while pretty much anything else cant get past his armor
Best way to defeat it is by using many imprinted shadowmanes.
Have the male roar and use females to cloak.
Also use gigas if you have them.
Snow owls also work to heal.
Why is this guy harder to kill then the final boss?
Why does this boss act like he is something special. He is harder than the Fenrir Boss.
Use lots of giga and velo on the side and let the giga attack stjbor or grapple on the roof and bring rocket launchers or any thing and shoot him have some Dino like gigas magmasaurs and rock golems to deal damage while you support fire.
