Guys please read. You need ATLEAST 60 tranq arrows for a level 5 spino and have about 80 Narcotics on you. Trust me they are 1 of the hardest tame. Also bring a creature with you, they are super fast. Bring a strong creature, the Spinosaurus is near swamps and these are the creatures they are close to that are dangerous.: Trex, Spinosaurus, Therizino, Alpha raptors and also Carno’s so please be careful.

These things float to the surface when underwater if it’s not on follow it will leave you and oof for u

So for a good tip is you should make a big base trap for the spoon and sometimes its fin is in the way so then you should use either darts or toxics arrows which work more efficiently and use fish meat and lots of narcotics or stuff like that :)

If you are a noob and want to kill a spino place down a wooden spike wall and lure it in and it should die easily (Keep in mind that this only works on lv 1-40 spinos).

Look around the rivers I found 2 AGRREIESVE as f spinos both male one 95 other a 145 on medium wild

Build a small stone room of stone with a reinforced door so it can't get in and make some openings in it so you can tranq it out from inside and stay untouched. Once knocked out use fish meat or kibble, if not just use meat but don't cook anything because it takes longer, uses more, and reduces effectiveness.

When knocking them out, u just need to sit on a small ledge that they cant climb and shoot them and once u do that, put raw meat and bio toxins. Why bio toxins? Becuase u can force feed them toxinsto keep em knocked out. Ps, i dont know if u can force feed on pc or console. (Im a mobile player)

I too found a 140 but female spine in penguin pond as well. Was stuck in cavern.

If you don’t have the resources to make a trap you can use the huge rocks that border the red woods and river territory where spinos are. BUT you could make a perimeter around it after you knock to make sure a gang of raptors don’t come and massacre you

If you don’t want to use trap the you will need very high speed,200%+ for me and barely chased it,DO NOT try tame one they were near Oscan,they will run to Oscan and never come back again

Stego are good tames to kill this or trikes because of the knock back

To tame make a 2x2 and put door frames around and ramps to go in lead the spoon in get out shoot it

Use a trang arrows with a cross bow and when is is sleepin g put a lot of fish meat and row meat and prime meat to tame it and go to sleep 2 thats how I tamed my spin up if this helped?

In my opinion, you look cooler on a Rex’s back, but Spinos are more powerful.

If you're looking for an hybrid between a barionix, 1 Thery and rex, get the spino

Has really good stats (except health, maybe)

has huge claws at both front paws (and he knows how to use them 😅😅)

And swim extremely fast

Only downside, compared to theri, doesn't farm anything from bushes & trees

Yes, the dpino is extremely overpowered 🤣😂

Usually, only under ai control can the Spino use its claw attack while swimming underwater while the rider can't. You can cheat this by dismounting your Spino and letting it get attacked by an agressive sea creature like a megalodon and the moment you hear the hurt sound, mount the Spino. This allows you to use the claw attacks with the ability to turn on the spot along with a much improved rise/descend speed while swimming turning the dino into a force to be reckoned with. I don't know if this works on PC but it allowed me to kill an Alpha Mosaurus.

The Spino will go back to its default bite attack if it fully surfaces, instead let the Spino lightly "bump" against the water surface in order to let it breathe without going back to its bite attack.

How to tame:

(IMPORTANT: HAVE MAJOR SOOTHING BALM ON HAND OR THE TAMING PROCESS WILL BE SLOW.)

Instructions: Find a Spino, and then request your tamed creature who can deal the highest damage of all your tamed creatures. Also request your Mesopithecus if it is not with you already. Have your Meso riding your shoulder, and get on the creature you have requested. (Recommended to use Gigantopithecus or Therizinosaurus) Run at the Spino and attack it until it is at half health, at which point it will get scared and attempt to flee to preserve itself. Tell your mount to stop, set it to passive, and make it ignore whistles. Whistle your Meso to target the Spino so that it throws poop at it which slows the Spino down on hit. Shoot it with tranqs until it is knocked out cold. Once neutralized, give it fish meat, and major soothing balm. You should only need to give it a few helpings of bio-toxin. Hope it helps.

Bring boi toxin u get it from jellys I have never tamed one but you definitely should I had 2 in my area didnt even think you could tame them I was always told by my brother to stay away from them then yesterday he said I should tame one but now I can't find any.
