This dino op as a early game dino. Good kb, can juggle Trexes. Just make sure it doesn't go underwater if there are jellyfish nearby, and don't go near deepwater. It will die to a random eel spawning and giving everyone brain concuction. Good even for Basil hunting for ez oil, good against Manta. Just to make sure, make sure you harvest Megaladon with a pickaxe though, you will not get Prime fish meat if you harvest with Spino

Just build a tower out of 8 or so stone pillars and some wood roofs used it to tame lvl 95 (watch out for therizinos and dimorphs while taming)

It's easy to tame I had 2 of them in the last game but I tamed them with a trap because I was a beginner,only u need is at least 8 dino gates straight on a track,and then put the door in the last dino gates,so find this bad boy and run from him,so he'll follow you to kill,simply run to the trap and then close the dino gate,he'll busy in breaking dino gates to kill you but at that moment you'll use tranq arrows,that's how I tamed them.

You have to be a mid to high lvl to be able to tackle one. They are very, very strong despite having less hp as the Rex. They are also very fast, so there is no going back once you engage, unless they are low, in that case they will sprint away.

Im a mobile player and i REALLY WANT ONE OF THESE so i keep caving for soothing balms but i cant get them! any tips for taming a spinosaurus? I dont have kibble also so should i use prime fish meat? If i get a soothing balm i might wait for it to starve then get bio toxin and prime fish

Spinos are great must have traveling dinos

This is a must have on solo play. My level 76 can take out an Alpha carno lv 1 and an Alpha Raptor level 6 back to back with no problem. When fighting with them don't forget to be near water as they gain increased movement and damage being in (Spino foot) foot deep water.

If you want to catch one properly you can setup 1-3 large bear traps in a row a good distance away from the Spino, then aggro it into one of the traps and tranq it. Don't forget, large bear traps take a few seconds before they become activated.

Bring a shield in case it gets to you before it gets to the traps, they're fast.

Ark 101 taming all large dinos. 4x4 behemoth trap. Leave a space that is person sized that you can shoot through. Use ptera or argy to bait dino into trap. Fly over the other side where dino in trap can't see you. Loop around and close open gate. Trapped. Clear dilos and other junk around trap. Knock out the large dino in trap and tame peacefully protected by gates. Ive used this method on diplos, brontos, gigas, spinos, rexes, allos, theri, etc. All in one trap.

I found one across from my base. I followed one of the tamimg pen tutorials but made the pen to small and the game kept crashing. I died over 5 times and finally got it trapped then a raptor killed me, when I respawned I saw the spino running towards my base. I thought it was the end of my dinos but no, it looked at my dodo the wrong way and all my creatures (10 dodo, 1 dimorphodon, two dilos,1 Iguanadon, one petradon, and two parasaurs) all mobbed it and it started running faster than anything I've seen in ark. I ended up making a huge pen and having to chase the spino into it because of the trauma from all those dodos... Now I have it, but am over level 52 and don't have a saddle for it.

I read all the tips, and even though I'm a newbie to ark the methods of taming the spino I've seen are pretty.. Inefficient

I tamed a spino at lvl 26 using a raft, wooden structures such as wall, foundation, roof and door etc on the raft.

You can find spinos, (on mobile as far as I know) between 40-50 LON, and 70-80 LAT, just look on your map.

Now taming them is relatively easier and less resource consuming than the other methods. I used this method as an uncultured and unknowledged swine and it worked. Spinos often spawn near water so build a raft and house on top of the raft, build a bow or crossbow, or the bow you get from dilo hunt persuit, once you see a spino position the raft so that you can peek out your door and shoot arrows, agro it with an arrow then drive the raft again luring it to land so that you don't tame it in water.. Lol

Stay inside the house you built on the raft while spamming tranq arrows on it (they will often circle the raft so just wait for them to pass by the Door, when they run just chase and keep shooting tranq arrows till they knock down) make sure to have at least 15-20 narcotics. Normal meat works even though it will take time. If you need more narcotics just make some more, if you have the soothing balm use it.

And then voila, you have a spino

I tamed a lvl 22 spino without any traps or flying creatures i climbed a high rock that was attached to a mountan so if he hits me i wont get launched from the rock i started shooting him whit crossbow and tanqr arrows and he fell down BRING AT LEAST 100 NARCOTICS OR 80/100 BIO TOXIN AND DON'T USE REGULAR MEAT LIKE I DID USE PRIME MEAT OR FISH MEAT

One of the easiest tames out there!! All you need is to have a high ground and about 10-20 narco arrows. Make sure once it starts running away that it will bump into rocks. Tamed a lvl 5 and only needed a 3x soothing balm with 50 narcotics and fish ✨️ only thing that sucks is now i gotta get to the lvl where i get a spino saddle

How to tame:

Step 1: Build a trap near but not too close to your desired spino.

Step 2: Lead it into the trap. (Don't underestimate their speed!)

Step 3: Shoot it with tranq arrows/darts until it goes unconscious.

Step 4: Put your taming food into it's inventory, and wait.

Step 5: Enjoy your new spino! (These guys are really good :D)

I had four spinos but one died saving my life from a meg (he was low like 100 hp) but and the one I just tamed I tamed with one piece of prime and 10x balm

Definitely needs narc, don't know why it says 0...

I can't find a high level spinoff so I tamed a 30 in luck so I can find a level 150 or 110 at least

Just tamed a spino without checking the lvl and it was lvl 3…. Wooo I guess
