Day 14 of Aberration
5:10 PM…
Dorack was long gone already. Sodden and Rod were left alone, along with Marison. Marison stood tall above Sodden, crouched down near him and opened his mouth..
“You probably want answers at this point. There’s not much point in telling you. You have like zero chance of getting out of here with all your friends. Anyway… give Reaper to Rod and he’ll let you go. And I’ll tell you everything. But resist, and… well. You know what happens.” Marison sneered. Sodden gasped. Rod let go of one of his arms and Sodden reached into his bag. He stopped there, still in shock and ignorance. He didn’t want to do this.
“Hmm. Don’t worry. Dread’s not gonna do anything to your raptor. He just wants it so you can’t do anything good… you know, since she’s your only good tame. You don’t deserve it, considering how much of an idiot you are.” Marison sneered. Sodden growled in anger and tried to lunge forward, and Rod held him down and wouldn’t let him go.
“Okay. Guess you don’t wanna know how Serenity’s doing. I guess I could tell Dread to start with the trial now…” Marison said. Sodden gasped.
“What… what trial!?” Sodden yelled. Marison chuckled.
“You see, it was our plan from the start. Serenity… heh. She was too easy to handle because of me. Besides Dorack almost sending me back to the Creator, everything has gone perfectly to plan. Nal… heh. We had to get creative. We had to sabotage her without her or anyone else waking up. So we snuck into the base that night, drugged every single one of you to keep you asleep, and then… well. I’ll just let Rod explain.” Marison chuckled as he pointed to Rod. Rod chuckled and threw Sodden against the unconscious Rock Drake. He sat down, groaning, gripping his shoulder. Rod stormed to him and crouched down.
“The trial starts in an hour. Give me Reaper now, and I’ll ask Dread to delay it. But if you intervene once… heh. She goes straight into the arena. Straight to meet Xenideath and Xenoslayer. You see… we’d been working on a device. This device is what we call…” Rod explained, then he reached into his bag and took out a object from the bag. The object was pin-shaped, slightly rusted on the tip and had a shiny, golden-pristine sharp bottom.
“This thing… I call it the Extreminator. It’s imbued with the blood of Reaper Queens and biotoxins extracted from organic polymer. Two of the most harmful things to survivor essence! Not even a survivor with godly attributes is immune to biotoxin and Reaper blood. We lodged it into Nal’s implant overnight, and sure enough, when she woke up, being the stupid, idiot wimpy baby chicken she is… she was so scared she tried to take it out. And the thing is, if you force a object like that out of your implant, it severly damages it, digs to the Singularity, the most vulnerable part… and that’s what happened to Nal. Her essence is decaying because tthe singularity inside her implant is destroyed. And finally… you and Dorack.” Rod growled. Sodden gasped.
“That’s… that was all you? What about Queen Syl?” Sodden shouted. Rod chuckled.
“I didn’’t see her as a threat. Well… at least not until they knew about you! We had to handle them. Show them what happens if they defy us. Dorack… heh. Tough as rocks, huh? Even went as far as to nearly send Marison to the creator. The device we used is specifically programmed to send a death message of gold to fake her permadeath, even though she’s technically still alive. Anyway… I’ve been watching you. You and Dorack getting into a fight the other day. Wow. Guess you two aren’t good friends, huh?” Rod sneered. He then stood up, turned around, and walked away. Sodden growled and leaped up and ran at him, then Marison lunged at Sodden and knocked him back. Sodden struck the ground on his back, and he shouted in pain. His back was badly bruised now.
“One last chance to give me the raptor. Unless you wanna sit back at the arena and watch your girlfriend get… uh… let’s say violated.” Marison sneered. Sodden shouted and tried to hit Marison back, then Marison grabbed both his arms and lifted his leg, then slammed Sodden into the ground. Sodden shouted in pain as Marison leaned down to his back.
“Fine. I’ll do it myself. Ugh. Rod was not joking when he said you were such a big piece of annoying crap.” Marison growled as he scrambled through Sodden’s bag, then he took a cryopod out of the bag. Sodden gasped and turned his head to see Marison taking the cryopod, and he then yanked his legs upwards to kick Marison. Marison shouted as he got launched backwards, but it took Sodden’s bag along with him. Marison slammed into the ground face up. Marison got up and swept off dirt from his pants. Marison chuckled. Sodden sat up, then stood up, growling.
“Too easy. Why couldn’t you have just given up when you had the chance? Rod, pin him down.” Marison sneered. Rod then nodded and lunged at Sodden, knocking him down again and hoolding his hands together, pinning them down to the ground, forcing Sodden to sit up.
“Heh. You remember when Serenity said I was her former ally? Heh. That’s true. Except not really. She doesn’t know that I allied with her to spy on her tribe. I was exposed but it came nearly too late for Terad and his tribe. It’s a cycle, Sodden. A cycle you don’t understand. Rock Drake Death Tribe, our full official name. Why is that our name? Simple. Because we control Aberration. Any tribes that journey here are at the mercy of us. Even if they somehow escape alive, they’re doomed. Like all survivors of horror movies.” Marison chuckled.
“You’re seriously gonna go as far as to make that comparison!?” Sodden shouted in anger and Rod screamed, “SHUT UP!!”
Then, Marison growled.
“Anyway, as I was saying… the cycle is endless. Our one goal is to what?” Marison sneered and walked closer to him and crouched down near him. Sodden sniffled and sighed.
“Gain full control of the Assassn Heart.” Sodden said gloomily. Marison chuckled.
“Yes. And here’s the thing. Terad, the very person who controls that artifact, came down here. Fatal mistake. Few people died, but dozens were traumatized. Like every horror story ever.” Marison whispered in Sodden’s ear. Sodden groaned in pain as he kept moving around. Marison backed up a little.
“Heh. You really do know no bounds. Never know when to stop. You’re just a dumb noob. Clueless, helpless, and useless from day one. This is your finality. And nothing’s going to change that. You just get people hurt. Serenity knows nothing of what happened with me last year. But we all know one thing.” Marison sneered and crouched down, then got closer and closer until his mouth was right besides Sodden’s ear.
“Nobody survives my horror movie… and gets away with it. Repeat after me. DO IT!”” Marison yelled. Sodden gasped and stammered, and the two repeated in unison,
“Nobody survives my/your horror movie… and gets away with it!” Marison yelled in excitment and leaped up. He walked towards the Megalosaur, and Rod followed him.
“Well, my work here is done. Go rot in your base. Ha.” Marison sneered. He and Rod walked to a Megalosaur, hopped onto it, and the two trotted away into the Red Zone. Sodden was speechless. At a complete loss for words. He turned around, his fists on the unconscious creature’s body, and looked down, with tears in his eyes. He was exhausted, distraught, and beat up. But most of all, he was full of rage. Everything Marison had said to him… it made him snap. Then he heard quiet footsteps. Syl then walked towards Sodden from the side. Sodden looked up at her. Syl was heartbroken at everything she saw.
“Sodden… I’ll get you back to the base. We’ll make a plan together. I saw everything that happened, heard everything they said. Come on.” Sylveevee said, and she held out her hands. Sodden sniffled and growled as he took her hand and stood up. Sodden had a look of confidence on his face. He walked onto the main path, and so did Syl. Syl then morphed into a Rock Drake. Sodden sighed softly and turned to behind him.
“Marison… Dread, Rod… no one messes with my friends and gets away with it! You’re all going down!!” Sodden yelled, his fist up into the air. He then turned to Syl, got on her back, and the Rock Drake glided away to Sodden’s base.
In preparation for a event even bigger than the Ravage…

-Grim Reapers- Chapter 9 “The plan will not work, because I do not approve of it. Case Closed.” The silver shinehorn bleated. “Shiny it will work, I’ve calculated it many times!” Nameless shouted. “Where are we going to get the materials for it? You’re not going to spend any of your Red Gem on this project, because you’re saving up for a transfer to Extinction.” “Ugh. It’s not a trip to Extinction, Shiny, it’s a trip to Arat Prime, and yes, I’m not spending any Gems for this, but I’ll pay you after.” “Ooo, Ok, who are you meeting?” The shinehorn said. “Wha… I… What?” Nameless answered. “Nevermind. By the power vested in me, I declare that the plan will be executed shortly. Goodbye.” The rock drake and the shinehorn left the room. Shiny had to go help his wife with the kids, and Nameless needed to go announce it to his Kingdom. 2 amazing votes and another one is out on Tuso. First’s on Reaper, Eighth’s on Basilisk. Note; Sorry I didn’t write this sooner, I’ve been really busy with 5 other stories and I’ve kinda stopped working on this one, but I’ll focus on this one for the next few months. -Dragonslayer, AKA Fauthor Fang Frost, author of Darkest Day-

Chapter twelve: A opportunity
“Ughhh! I hate it here!!” Willow growled, for what seemed like the seventh hundredth time in the past nine years. Camille and Daniel ignored her. They’d learned that it was best to, if you wanted her to shut up. They’re all grown older over the years. Danielle’s hair hung ruggedly to his shoulders and he had a rough beard grown on his face. Willow’s face had grown even more stony over the years and her black curls hung to her hips.
Camille’s wings dragged limply on the ground and a few long grey stripes ran through her hair. The walls of the cell were made of a cold metal and the bunks were bare of any sleeping material. They all had metal collars around their necks that deactivated their powers. Hailey, she was now called Josephina, came by every once in a while to visit them for some weird reason.
She mostly talked to Daniel who enjoyed the company. He’d grown soft and was rather fond of the young woman. They were only allowed out of the cell at meal or restroom breaks. They all slept in separate cells but during the day they all were in one. “Ha! I killed your queen..again.” Daniel said, smirking, breaking through her thoughts. Camille frowned and moved a knight.
“Ooh wise move..” They were playing chess..as usual. They’d both grown quite good at it.
“Will y’all focus?!” Willow cried, exasperated. They’d had this conversation before. A million times. Daniel frowned at her and pointed Camille’s dead queen at Willow in mock sternness. “There. Is. No. Way. Out.” He said, then went back to his move. Willow walked over and slammed her hands on the table, dumping the chess game unto the floor.
“Hey!” Daniel exclaimed. Camille lowered her head and brought her wings closer around her. She knew better than to challenge Willow. Even without a knife she was dangerous. The camera in the corner, watching them lowered suddenly but none of them cared. Probably just a slight malfunction. It would be back on soon.
“We have to get out of this place!!!” Willow hissed, her eyes flashing dangerously. Daniel nodded vigorously, eager to get back to their game. “Yeah, yeah, yeah we know. But the problem is how do we get out? Ehh? Figure that out for me, Will-ow!” Willow had punched him in the arm. “There has to be a way! We can’t be stuck in here forever.” Willow said. “Yeah but there’s not.”
“But what if there is?” A voice said. All three of the prisoner’s heads shot up. They walked over to the barred cell door. A woman in a black coat and hood, her hood half pulled back to reveal her black eyes, stood there. “What did you say?” Camille asked quietly. Daniel shuffled his feet. “I might be able to help you escape…” The woman said. “You?” Willow sneered.
A half smile formed on the woman’s face. “Yes. Not only can I help you escape…I can help you get revenge on the phoenixes that did this to you. The Black Skulls need talented people like you.” The woman said. “Weird name.” Camille thought to herself.
Willow cocked her head, a devious grin forming on her face. Camille knew that she was thinking about Josephina. “What would we need to do?”
Journey: Chapter 31
Meanwhile back on Fjordur
After a day of looking for a Megachelon who would help them get to where Basil said he knew someone who could help them. Coal, Bramble and Basil finally found an old Megachelon who wanted prime meat in trade for this task to take them to Vardiland.
While on the ride, a nauseous Coal was pondering on what Fenrisulfr said back at the Castle. ‘The Five are gone- and will never return’, he wondered if he meant dead, exile, or something else entirely. His thoughts were scrambled when Basil came up and asked Coal a question.
“So why did you go against your father’s orders?”, “What?” Coal replied.
“When the Five were imprisoned by your father, why did you free them and go against your father’s orders?” Basil repeated.
“Oh, that. I don’t know really. I just didn’t think it was right for five young creatures to get locked up for nothing they did wrong. And all of that for a megalomaniac to question them about something they know nothing about.” Coal answered.
“That’s it?!” Basil asked, “Yes, that’s it. We’re you expecting some sort of great sleuthing or some sort of deductions that lead to freeing them?” Coal said sarcastically.
“Kinda.” Basil replied. Coal stared at Basil for a minute in silence. Trying to understand why he ever agreed to follow this carno.
“So why are you going to Vardiland?” The megachelon said, her furthest eye looking back at Basil directly. “We’re going to see some friends who can help us.” Basil said.
“Who?” The megachelon said,
“If its alright, I wouldn’t like to say anything in case Ma’am .” Basil said,
“My name is Olivace.” the old megachelon huffed as she turned her back to the attention of the sea. Basil took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.
“Don’t you love the smell of air on the open ocean” Basil said talking to Coal. Coal looked at him with a green, disgusted and irritated look on his face.
“No, not really. And I don’t think Bramble likes it either.” Coal said pointing at Bramble, who was laying down on the far side of the shell. With his face towards the sea. “Oh, okay.” Basil said quietly.
“Well I probably shouldn’t add that we have at least a few hours to travel the sea until we reach Vardiland. And that we might have to dive down close to the Vardiland coast where Deinosuchus and Sarcosuchus of the sea will try to board my shell to find anything worth their while... Obviously, you can see why I am going to need to dive and dodge them to get to Vardiland. You three will need to find something to hold on as we dive.” Olivace said, Coal, Bramble, and Basil looked at her with concerned looks on their faces. Bramble then threw his head over the side of the megachelon as he released his last meal into the sea.
“Make sure you don’t get any of that on my shell… argh, there’s worst things in the sea.” She said, Basil face expressed disgust while Coal just stared with a agitated look on his face.
“How are we suppose to do that if two us have no way of using our front limbs!!” Coal squawked, Olivace huffed.
“How am I supposed to know? I wasn’t the one who asked to go to Vardiland.” Olivace said,
“Well it wasn’t my first choice either! But here we are, so do you know a way for us to not be stranded?!” He squawked again, she looked right back at him.
“Why don’t you just use your feet or stay quiet with your complaints then!!” She bellowed,
‘How or why did I get myself here in this situation?’ Coal thought to himself. Grief still lingered at full strength in his heart, he just wanted to scream out for all the world to hear. But, it wasn’t good here. He needed to be alone. And being stuck with four other creature wasn’t what he’d call alone.
An ocean wave splashed across Olivace’s shell and smashed into Coal and Basil. Coal squawked in surprise feeling the cold, smelly ocean on his body and face. Basil immediately shook off the sea water, getting more sea water onto Coal, who gave an irritated look at Basil.
“Sorry!” Basil replied. Coal sighed.
Coal thought this was going to be a long trip before he got on the megachelon. Now that he’s on her back, beginning to feel sea sick and making some sort of dive underwater to avoid dangers. He started to think that this was going to be a lot longer than he thought. And he really hope that the time would pass by.
