EASY tame:
1. Catch a Coelacanth and a Leedisthys and put them first and last in your inventory respectively.
2. Go to pearl cave and read the stone tablet that has braille on it.
3. From there make sure to make a TON of cryopods (30+ you'll need them)
4. Go to desert biome and go into the last cave chamber where it rests
5. Tame it and be happy! Be sure to look out for it's ice and metal variant cousins too! xD
More Rock Elemental Funny Tips
Always have bolas ready. They won't be for the Rock elemental, but for your tribe mate(s).
Whoever tames this thing with stone is a mad man

If you do this in an official server. And use stone, you are one crazy ark player.
Be friendly and caring when engaging this peaceful creature. He may disguise himself a rock, as he is very shy. Use stone to passive tame this gentle giant.
