I once killed a Giga with one of these things. I thought it was a Carcha. I was nervous to try but did anyways. The Giga went in rage mode and very quickly died. I was shocked. I've since killed another Giga since I know I can.

I have a theory that they only spawn at level 1 on Scorched Earth. I'm on max difficulty with the extra miscellaneous difficulty setting turned on. I've never seen a jerboa above level 1.
