They are veru good in gathering fiber better than mosschops and very good in harvesting berries more narco berries better than paraceratherium

How can I tame a megatherium in Ark mobile?I haven’t seen any of this in ark mobile

These things attack you just for having chitin in your inventory.

I play on my fiancé’s account a fair amount (mainly to do some of the tedious things like getting metal, turning it into ingot, making narcotics, stuff like that.) I was flying around in the forest on one of the bigger islands south of red ob, just vibing, considering taming something if I found something I liked. I was kinda eyeballing a carno, when from behind me, one of these comes zooming, in a fight with a pack of dilos. I watched as this beast killed a good chunk of that herd AND the carno before sadly falling to one of the last dilos. I was didn’t get the level on it but I was highly impressed. I’m more tempted than ever to tame one.

You can find them on the coast of the red woods on the island.Also they a weirdly fast so try to get one in water

The best place to take these guys are the desert because if you do it right it will be infinite on rag

I know most ppl say got to the volcano yes that is more chit per minute but it’s a 2h cool down that’s why I say the desert is the best

To tame this beast create the contraption built from:

-4 Stone Foundations,

-16 Stone Door Frames,

-6 Wooden Ramps.

The foundations will hold the stone door frames you want 16 stone door frames to put on the perimeter. 8 stone door frames on top of 8 stone door frames. Hit the Megatherium when the trap is set, run up the wooden ramp and weave through the stone door frames then it should follow you in and be trapped as it can’t break stone (if you see damage numbers both stay back since it is still angry at you and don’t worry about it escaping it is probably hitting the wooden ramps, which are wooden to be expendable. Now slaughter all carnivores around trank, feed and enjoy your new brood mother musher.🥳

You can pick it up with a Quetzal.

This guy is very strong and tanky. You found him in redwood, desert and dark fern forest.

He's easy to tame.

If you are playing on fjordur travel to jotenhien, you will find many more high level megatheriums (just make sure to have curry, tek canteen, and good fur). Sorry if spelling is bad

When teaming these bad boys try to use a 3 x 7 stone foundation with some stone doorways surrounding it (make sure there 2 high and put a behemoth gate in the front of it that’s a really good trap to make for these guys and also be careful because they are very fast and you cannot out run them

Take this to swamp cave on island and get the 3x note before hand. Run the cave wearing a scuba tank and goggles. Best way to lvl up

If they attack a bug in the wild their buff makes them aggressive. Was on extinction and one of these killed a spider. 36 chitin wasn’t worth it.

In mobile these things only spawn in the dungeons. Up this so wildcard can put them on in the regular game.

Im playing ark at console.. im playing scroched earth... When you start hit this guy.. this thing can catch you really fast asf.. so if you wanted to tame it .. better find high ground or making trap..

Dont compare stats to t rex, it says trex is higher but this thing harvests more and gets rage effect from killing anything that drops chitin. Which makes them do more damage and take less damage/torpor

Take a quick flight or run to the lava/burnt area and hit trees for massive amounts of charcoal and bonus those areas are full of insects so get that chitin!

This Dino is a good Dino overall and it is like made for fighting the brudmother. :)

Like many other creatures, the buff of wild Megatherium is applied on sight of the target (all kind of arthropods) rather than after performing the action needed to activate it once tamed (killing), so don't expect to tackle one while there are any tamed or wild arthropods nearby, including even the strongest of the Mantis trained in melee.

It is also worth note that wild Megatherium will become aggressive when the buff is activated, so stay clear of them unless you have means to take it down.
