Taming & KO Tips
How do I tame a megachelon? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a megachelon.
Use poo to help lure the swarm faster.
Not actually as hard as you think. Also people say he "eats" the fish but I think they are cleaning him.
Easy tame, agrow fish on them and move far away, the tame will work 0 to 100%
When taming, make sure not to trap it. When it comes in contact with a barrier of any kind, sabertooth salmon are spawned in behind it. The salmon will bite it an reset its taming. If you tame it in the open water with no barriers it will tame pretty easy. You can not put berries into your hot bar and passive it or honey. You can not knock it out to tame either.
You need to lure a parakeet fish school (if the school won’t aggro that means there is a feces near by and you need to pick it up) to one of these and you need to be off your mount for the taming to start. Do not leave the megachelon side or else the fishes will despawn (and the taming bar wil slowly go down) and don’t let anything attack it or the taming will start over.
So apparently you can grab the swarm with a tuso keep in mind you will be slow and venerable however
Tip for everyone:
Don't get a microbe swarm while on a Mount. Get off to aggro and stay off, the swarm will aggro easier off a Mount, and stay aggrod better. Swimming backwards you'll swim at a similar speed to the microbe swarm. (PC) Use "K" to see where you're going.
Solo player tips:
Step 1. Set dino spawn to 2.0 to find Megachelon and microbe swarms easily. (Also up dino tame speed if you wish)
Step 2. Get full scuba suit, but only use the body piece when you need it as the ocean biome in Genesis GREATLY reduces oxygen consumption underwater.
Step 3. Get night vision goggles to spot microbe swarms very easily. Works best at night.
Step 4. Get an X Basilosaurus.
Step 5. Find a high concentration of Megachelon and then swim down to find a microbe swarm. Bring it back up and use the basilosaurus to defend against sharks, eels, and sabertooth salmon (watch near the microbe swarm around the turtle, they'll spawn nearby the swarm)
Step 6. Start collecting Megachelon to build an army.
Tame using a microbe swarm. Lure it to the megachelon and then defend the turtle from everything thats agressive. Careful. This takes a very long time.
IMPORTANT TIP FOR TAMING-
Don't.
On a more serious note kill every nearby eel before starting and use a decent crossbow for the salmon and coels that try to eat the parakeet fish. :]

Megachelons and the swarms do not combat with eachother and just don’t work. The turtle is so much faster then the swarm and the swarms just deaggro on you every 3 seconds . I had a 150 turtle and once I got the swarm to the surface they just stopped aggroing and they wouldn’t attach to the turtle. I tried this with 3 different swarms and they all did the same thing
To tame you must lure the "microbes" (swarming fish) to the turtle and allow the taming meter to go up. If the turtle gets hit the taming bar restets.
U can find them on lost island by green obs desert
Him turtle… feed turtle…….build turtle.
Lead a sea swarm to it then swim near it. Dont let it take damage or it will rest tameing .QD
To tame you need to lure a parakeet swarm to the turtle. You only need ONE swarm to tame these dudes… here’s what I gathered from experience:
1. If they get hit during taming progress resets to zero
2. The higher the level parakeet swarm (and the higher it’s health) the quicker it tames
3. While taming the swarm will have coles and salmon spawn behind it and attempt to eat the swarm, the more this happens the slower the tame will be (if eaten enough parakeet swarm disappears)
Their taming is like an annoying mini game, would recommend a baryonyx for fish that spawn and also to kill sharks that try to attack the turtle.
Tip: coles can’t catch up to the swarm, so if one spawns would suggest leaving it be as it seems only one fish will pursuit a swarm at a time
Another Tip: gen is the easiest map to tame, I did it naked. Most annoying part of this tame is luring the swarm to the turtle to start feeding, I found this buggy on a mount and oxygen, stam use and sped are all buffed underwater while swimming on this map.
Make sure you stick close to it while taming or it's bar will drop to zero and you'll have to start over
They can breed but only at really deep dephts in the Ocean Biome. The Island's oceans aren't deep enough so you can't breed them on that map.
You can grab a swarm with a squid and bring it to the turtle. It'll be bugged out though, so you'll have to leave render and come back so you can draw aggro.
Must bring it a school of parakeet fish aka microbe swarm, then protect the turtle from all threats as well as protecting the swarm from the salmon that will constantly spawn to eat it.
Passive tame- Swim mid/deep ocean and look for a parakeet fish school and swim them to the megachelon, passive tame will start when school goes to megachelon. Will reset if hit.
