If you give a Mantis a club it can knock out almost anything! Beware that it does more damage. I found a 116 Dire wolf, grabbed my Mantis, gave it a club and instead of a tamed Dire wolf, well let’s say my Mantis had a good meal

Lure it into the water and get tame it from behind. It can't jump in the water

Equip a good wooden bat and up its damage and you’ll have a good tame for knocking out future tames some times the bats a bit too strong and will kill but play around with it

Great way to get organic polymer and when tamed do very good damage and can use tools to collect lots of resources are fight enemies.

Make sure to get low levels for breeding, they have more chance to have more leval ups and are good for staurting as a nub.

I hate taming stuff like the mantis that’s a passive tame but is still aggressive. Huge pain. Bring some ghillie, it helps a lot.

Best method for horns is bringing a carno or allo to the ice caves on rag. You can farm deathworm horns all day. Also the meta for doing the drops.

Mind that taming progress will drop if the mantis' food is empty which is because rhino horn doesnt give much food value and takes longer time to tame. U may drag a corpse to the mantis, when it attacks the corpse the food will be filled.

I eats every 300 so just watch taming progress tab so you don't have to sit and time
