Mammoths are excellent for collect wood on mobile. Get a high level mammoth (i tamed lvl 250). The mammoth unlike a beaver has a high weight reduction,more weight in general and can defend itself and you from threats when collecting wood unlike the beaver. Btw it has a cheaper saddle

Random fact: (the island) on mobile, the mammoth dossier is located in an optional area (not necessarily a dead end) in the lava cave, but on the island (or ultimate survivor edition) its located in the artifact of the pack cave at the bottom of the second cliff

If youre on the hunt for these guys. Dont go on a rex, they get stuck in the ice and you will get killed by megalodons :(

Best way to tame is have a crossbow with butt load of tranq arrows walk backwards tranqing it as you go every now and then you need to turn around to get a bit further away. I know this works because i have three mammoths that i used this exact stratigy on

It can spit water when submerged in a river/ocean and can remove paint from structures

Make excellent battle dinos. Very large AOE attack and can withstand alot of damage.

On the raft build a 3x3 foundation with 3 walls high and a ramp going up into the raft. Go to the winter area youll find Mammoths there. Get it into the raft. Once in the raft shoot it with tranq arrows. Starve it and then feed. Kibble is 80times its food.

Go into the winter biome and they can mainly be found around the mountains

Where there is snow there are mammoths, but also lots of danger. If you want a mammoth come prepared with as many heath Brews as you can carry and some heavy armory cause if you didn’t manage to stick your mammoth in a taming coral then you better be prepared to fend off every wolf, saber, or carno that happens Upon you. If you need a great wood/thatch getter this one is it. The stomp attack gets the most wood. Swipe attack gets the thatch.

So everyone can know base on the official wiki Mammoth has a 75% weight reduce for wood.

Pairing a mammoth with a chainsaw is the best at getting wood. Mammoth has a weight reduction of 75% and a chainsaw can get you many stacks. Found this out way later than I should’ve.

If your taming a high level mammoth then use kibble because if you don’t you’ll sit there for hours waiting for it to tame.

Don’t underestimate deez bois I’ve seen them kill a Rex at level 25
