It is op because the xp boost but use it near dinosaurs then pet for the xp boost

The only reason an untamed lystrosaurus will attack you is if you take its egg and the same goes for pteranodon.

Met this thing once and lived to tell the tale.

Do NOT approach them, they are aggressive and merciless and can spot you from afar, if that happens good luck running away...

How2Tame #3: Lystrosaurus

Welcome back to How2Tame, where I, Zeta, teach all how to tame ARK's magnificent creatures! Today we will master the art of Lystrosaurus, with the rest of my episodes shown at the bottom of the post.

1. Gather berries and put the berries you have the most of in the back of your hot bar. This does not count the black ones.

2. Find a Lystrosaurus. Feed the Lystro 1 berry from your hot bar. Do not knock it out.

3. Wait until the Lystro says it is hungry once more and feed it another berry. Repeat until the tame bar reaches 100.

4. Name your tame, but make it appropriate. The last thing you'd want is your new companion getting bullied for its name.

5. Occasionally feed the Lystro more berries. You can pet it every so often too, to give it an XP booster.

You have to passive tame them, you can’t knock them unconscious. They recover torpor stupidly fast.

If you pet it, dinos within a certain radius will get almost double the xp! ( 1.7 x more to be exact ) That’s a 35% boost! If only the range was higher.

I would say those are compact moving chests. They are easy to tame

I stole its egg once… I turned around and it pounced on me nibbled my toes i jabbed it with my spear it broke my spear I got mad and killed it…

Taming a Lystrosaurus

1. Approach it. Lystrosaurus are Passive so they are easy to approach

2. Put whatever berry is required in the slot closest to the right

3.it SHOULD show Feed berry to tame. So tap the berry button on the right. It will say “wait until hungry again!”

4. Feed until tamed!! Enjoy your Crapping Lizard!!
