Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a ichthyosaurus? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a ichthyosaurus.
When I tamed my first one that was a Lvl 115 I got it stuck in a rock then then I slapped meat to its face.
If you don't plan to trap it on a fully enclosed area, be sure to craft a saddle first. As soon as it gets tamed, megalodons and mantas all over will try to get a piece of the thing, so bolt away as fast as you can.
Easy to tame early game lead it close too the shore and by that i mean so close that the Thatch-walls that stand on the Thatch-foundations you just put down is higher than the surface.
The eating intervals are far greater apart than 19 seconds. I was chasing a 145 dolphin around for 15 minutes constantly checking to feed it or not. When it did eat it felt more like 1 to 2 minutes or three before it would eat again. Highly recommended you eat some focal chili and then swim after it with flippers. Even with a base oxygen and 100 and movement speed of 100 you'll still be able to out swim it.
It is great when they are stuck inside a rock because the can not get away when taming.
I saw two, made a pen with columns and one swam straight in (lucky break) did attract two mantas that had to be fought off however.
Passive but they will come to you if they see you. Block them off so they can't swim away. Then feed with meat in last quick slot. Fairly easy tames
Really make sure that there are no damgerous animals around you, also know that after a while it will lose interest in you and swim away.
Watch out for megalodons once tamed the ichthyosaurus the megalodon will agro it so kill the megalodons first then enjoy you're flash dolphin
They are a good storage creature(not unlike the Dunkylosteus) and has loads of Stamina.
On the very bottom right corner ofThe Island map, the open sea leads into a small island full of trikes, pteranodos, stegos, Paras and Ankylo. In the water in the middle you will likely find an Itchy and when you start the tame they only seem to swim to the other side of that pond (a 10 second swim away) and never into the open sea. Just because the water leading into it is full of Megalos, so it might take a while to get the Itchy back safely.
Find one near tha shore and kill off the manta. Then swim away and feed. Will follow you after that. Just feed and tease it
Get a whole lot of fish!!! There a passive tame so they’ll come back to you after you feed them
1 raw fish meat and 1 dodo kibble for lvl 5
They’re very curious like a underwater compy.
Ignore people who say try and trap it...yet fail to mention how to. Talk about a bandwagon.
By far the best way is Dodo kibble, it's well worth going through all the effort.
The two harder ingredients to gather are dodo eggs (female dodos tame) and rock carrot (you can get a Pegomastix to fetch you some seeds by setting it to wander, then plant them in a medium pot.
For taming I just try to swim towards it as close as I can and give it some raw meat apparently on my game of ark (which is on mobile) I cannot directly feed it dodo kibbles
U can find these at herbivor Island (on the bottom right on the map)if u reach there you can see its like a U find them in the middle u part on mobile you can feed it raw meat while its wandering around but make sure to add a wall so it can't get far and so megalodons can't attack u _i was taming a bazilik (dont know how to spell it sorry) and two of these but a megalodon killed me, now I need to get a ton of stuff to craft a raft_bte im lvl 32_up so every one can see and have a good day
I have a pure red colored, blue colored, and yellow colored. I named them zoom, vroom, and boom. I tamed three megs but still keep them cuz of there colors :)
I WILL kill and tame and ride then I will become the first beautiful
