Tip : in mobile, despite the common knowledge that either “ichthys lost no aggro ability” or “ichthys still have no aggro” there is something complicated : certain ichthys dont attract aggro until tamed, and certain other ichthys keep their no aggro ability forever. If you tame one, it might not have no aggro, so tame one and test the no aggro ability. If it has no aggro, you have found the perfect ocean mount. If it makes other creatures aggro, then it must be executed. I tamed 3 ichthys with no aggro, but then i tamed a 4th and it got eaten by megs immediately. that how i found this out

On mobile only, they wouldn’t be spotted by other underwater tames

On pc/console, they can be spotted by wild Dino’s

Basically your must-have first water mount. Outspeeds anything in the water, is ignored by all land predators, and is immune to attacks by the sea scorpions. Without this little guy, I never would have had any chance to brave Ark’s depths. Trying to tame anything else first is usually ridiculously hard. (Except for amphibious creatures that work well on both land and water.) Triple thumbs up.

This things are very fast, very easy to tame, and most sea creatures won’t attack you if you are riding one.

How to exploit it: creatures (in mobile version) can’t see you on its back and you will not attack you. You can shoot arrows at megaladons and live. Easy as that. New best way to game a megaladon is the Ichthyosaurus. (Trust me I tried and it worked!)

One of the best tames ,just put some meat in ur hotbar and boom u have an itchy a fast water rocket , on mobile they are op since they dont get agro u can literally kill tons of megs without a single bite from them ,so for oil just tame an itchy and get a pick axe, , but WARNING : dont ever ever ever leave ur itchy while in water ,u will get immediately killed and wont be able to go back to the itchy , if its following you it will be spinning around like an electron so u cant mount it ,an advice u can go to the bottom and kill angelerfish u will get loot ,and angelergel u can then tame a manta lol ,u can go to the pole and hunt penguins for polymer another warning DONT LEAVE UR ITCHY because finding ur corpse in the ocean is not fun that if u find it , best thing to do if u want to loot a loot drop is to leave ur raft above you directly and have a bed in it so u can respawn and take ur loot if u died, and remember u can get dammaged by the cold in the night or in the pole , a good water tame but unreliable in serious cases

For people confusing whether or not they lose aggro when tamed on mobile,here's the answer I got after taming and testing around 100 of those dolphins.

1.They will become invincible (literally) by any creature if you tame them when there's no aggressive dinos around in your render distance(both land and sea dinos count)

2.They will become living rage shark baits if you tame the when there are aggressive dinos AROUND or IN THE RENDER DISTANCE.And by that I mean they will aggro creatures more than any tame in the game now calling even megs out of render distance and eels from boarderline render range.They essentially became sea pachyrhinos in constant rage pheromones buff for aggressive creatures.

So here's my tame.Tame them ONLY in herbivore island inner shore if you want the invisible buff and kill any shark or manta that spawned in there before taming them.

Good on mobile a lot less good on anything else because on mobile nothing attacks you when you ride one

They are fast water tames but i play on boosted so I have like 300 speed and they take so long to tame so I don’t use them

These do Not aggro other creatures on MOBILE however if you get off then back on everything that would aggro a player normally will aggro the icthy so if this happens just swim away then come back when everything else de-agros.

Okay so I tamed one of these guys it was really quick I had prime meet waiting in my argy. But as soon I tamed it it popped above the water on the beach and it won't move it can rotate around and up and down but it's like glitced any way to save this one or no?

Follow up. They will not Aggro when you use a crossbiw

Raw prime fish meat works wonders. Just be sure to bring enough for all who show up. If ya feed one more will just pop up outta nowhere

I’ve tamed a basil, megalodon, and an electrophorus and NONE of them are as amazing as my itchy. This is the best beginner underwater tame I could ask for!!!

If you’re riding a ichthyosaurus on ark mobile it will prevent you from being attacked by aggressive creatures including electropheris

From what I’ve tested, everything aggrows on it. Even tamed a second one and had the same result (yes I was mounting it)

Megs and other creatures will only not kill you on a ichyosaurus if your on mobile. Just trying to stop the war if they can be invincible or not.. Also, only mobile players can get ascendant saddle. Kk bye!
