Tips & Strategies

What are tips for ichthyosaurus? Tips and strategies for ichthyosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Saw one or two in a river once. But be careful in rivers because spinos LOVE them.
Always near the coast, but sometimes a bit deeper.
To tame(passive) they will come to you if they get close enough but will wander off after a few feeds. To make it easier build a small pen around them once they attract to you.
If your playing on mobile just make the dodo kibble, supper simple and will save you like 2 hours trying to tame to with raw fish meat
up if helpful
Does anyone know how to request these on multiplayer? I lost both of mine exploring herbivore island ( The Island ) and I can’t seem to request. I can’t get back too.
Can anyone please submit a tip for that?

What I did was I built a circle out of stone dino Gates and I got it to follow me in and then boom. You can stay in the circle and tame it and it wont be able to run. Hope this helps.
Go to the cove near swamp I found 6 and a lv 120 female chillin
Whatever you do, make sure they never get hit by the jellyfish, if they do they'll flee as soon as they can depending on their set behaviour (specifically if on neutral/attack your target they'll flee when the cnidarias are cleared out) I haven't tasted if they do so in passive anyway but im not willing to risk losing of of these good bois
if u ichthy die and u revive at at a revival platform UNDERWATER, then sea creatures will agro u.
It is a great beginner tame On mobile all you need is a raft and you got a scary dolphin
After the initial feeds, it will swim normally if your mounted. Once you dismount, it will swim directly away from you. Use this mechanic to beach it and stay behind it in the water so it does not flee to ocean. Be mindful of piranha and land Dino's.
Y’all… ichthys most certainly do get attacked in the water. Tell “nothing attacks u on them” to my ichthy who was violently slaughtered by an alpha mosa. Unless you play mobile (which is only about 5% of ARK players if I had to guess) they definitely get attacked even if you are in the saddle.
Note:
If you are taming Ichthys then tame them being underwater (don't get outside the water) or the hostile creatures will aggro on you.
This is Similar like Taming Arthro And Araneo In Caves
SPENT AN HOUR TAMING ONE AND IT JUST DIED
I tamed mine at the red obelisk. He sure liked me, since he didn’t even run away.
Nice for aquatic tames (rider can use weaponary)
