i tamed a level 95 bad boi and these things SLAP. literally. their dive attack deals 280 damage per hit and you can hit creatures at least twice before swinging back up. immediately get your bonus for killing each creature for your first time and level up stamina, then take on an alpha carno. i got +14 levels from killing a level 90. just keep bumping stamina and weight!
Two people can ride and both can equip tools/guns while riding and can dive for help during combat too. These winged beasts sadly can't be bred because they don't have genders, much like the rock elementals. And you're going going to have a very hard time knocking one out considering they fly fast and have decent attack, but will most likely be worth it. Probably going to have to move to Ragnarok because of these things.
Honestly, easiest way i tamed a griffin on mobile was to fly up with a ptera and use the typical, althpugh ive also tamed them easily without the pen.Theyre honestly the best mounts in ark(mobile specifically) and its worth it. THOUGH if your taming ide use a major soothing balm otherwise it takes so long to tame.and if youre breeding griffins in mobile they need to have the smae last syllabel(AKA they must be from the same house/family),ect: they could be called aniys, and daeerys,-both have the YS name, there fore they can breed. :)
It's basic swipe from the ground is rather weak. It's strength comes from being able to dive swipe. To utilize this, you will want to focus the camera on your target and fly above then straight down at the enemy, while left clicking to swipe a claw in air. This does unreal massive damage, potentially thousands of damage.
You will get knocked off your griffin if you touch water! When I was flying I accidentally touched water and there just so happened to be a high level megalodon right below me and I think you can guess how that turned out.
You can actually turn these into royal griffins no cheats or mods I'm on xbox one btw I tamed a griffin named it royal griffin because it looked so much like one i can tell royal griffins and griffins from the padings under there wings I looked at um and they were crown yellow wich means royal.
