Their fast dive bomb ability makes them a prime canidate for escaping wyverns after stealing an egg.

They can strafe like a tapejara. Good way to mitigate their bad turn radius is hold left or right while looking where you want to turn. Cuts radius in half.

Absolutely fantastic mounts. Up their stamina a few times as well as their weight, and you've got yourself a fantastic globe-trotter. I use mine for getting supply drops at night. Put an otter on your neck for temperature regulation or a Jerboa as a backpack and you've got yourself a perfect world-traveling setup. Griffin's are absolutely fantastic 10/10.

INF STAMINA ON THE GRIFFIN

If you want inf stamina on the griffin whistle your griffin to follow, hop off the main seat and get on the passenger seat (you can stand on the back and tail of the griffin while in mid-air) and switch back if the energy is full! just be careful as you might end up falling off!

For the people who like cats, birds, and speed the griffin is one of the best beast on ragnarok for you my friend, you can dive bomb your enemies but otherwise it does low damage but it is very fast

A wild Griffin is a damn dangerous flying monster.

It's fast, does a lot of damage, it' even flying around you like a vulture to make some psychological warfare. It has a dive ability too. Be aware that it is hard to tame it without any trap, but I've got you covered, just use a Netgun and it will instantly fall to ground, then you build 4-5 Gate frames on the Griffin while you have 2 Gates ready to close the entrances, so it stays put. Or have the gates built beforehand, lure it in and then close the gates.

Aaaaand... don't get hit, this thing can slay you and your whole family tree in a matter of seconds.

Once you have tamed it with some meat, prime meat, mutton, or kibble, you can get rid of your trap and mount this Demon without enslaving it with a saddle. It has 2 Seats, stays in air like a helicopter, you can even fly backwards or left and right. In other words: It's maneuverability is extreme. It has a nice Dive ability. The best and fastest way to move this thing is by diving all the time. Fly down until it reaches a nice speed and then pull it back up, with this technique, you are able to cross large distances in a short amount of time. It's able to pick dinos up, but only the small boys n girls.

It's one of the fastest and most dangerous flyiers by the way. You can even breed those Insane and awkwardly beautiful Bird like creatures.

These things are GODS when trying to get somewhere fast in Ragnarok just fly high up and put some points in stamina and dive bomb down then pull up and you turn into the flash

make sure to level up stamina, especially if youre thinking about stealing some wyvern eggs. remember to be careful in the wyvern trench!

Two people can ride and both can equip tools/guns while riding and can dive for help during combat too. These winged beasts sadly can't be bred because they don't have genders, much like the rock elementals. And you're going going to have a very hard time knocking one out considering they fly fast and have decent attack, but will most likely be worth it. Probably going to have to move to Ragnarok because of these things.

WARNING: if you lag on a server you might clip the ground and not know it and the next time you land your griffin will take infinite fall damage and die. Sometimes you don’t even have to land and your griffin will die mid air. There is no way to prevent this just remember to carry parachutes.

This thing is actually the fastest flyer in ark if played right.

Wyverns are fast, yes. So are pteras, etc.

But the griffin… if you gain lots of altitude, you can use the dive ability to surf back up and fly forward and slightly up to gain insane amounts of speed. No wyvern will ever catch you. Try it out!
