Charge it head on, don't worry about the 500 damage it's cap it's like 5 ish

Punch it until it's knocked, it helps to stand close to the feet where it can't hit you

Use cooked fish meat to tame it faster, dododex is just trolling it's actually the best to tame it

There's no need for narcs it's torpor is like 10 hrs

As for breeding it's pretty easy breed the parents and just log off it's the 1 dino that rases it's own kids

Btw Gigas get buffed when you tame them so you can now fight off wild Gigas for a lot of xp

I put a taming tutorial on the Carcha so its time for the giga! So you will need a flyer, (Argy or tanky Rhyniognatha recommended) some metal gates and bear traps (Use Giant bear traps because the vanilla giga can't break metal) ok so put the metal gates around in a circle (or square) just like the carcha but leave a open area so you can lead the giga in, place the bear traps all around the middle to trap it multiple times,Lead the Giga in and shoot it with tranquilizer darts from a long neck rifle,once it knocks out put meat inside (you can put any meat in but prime meat to Mutton to cooked mutton is recommended) once it tames bring it back home and you got yourself a giga! You can just summon a tamed one of these guys at level one million easy one shot boss killer. You don’t have to go through the suffering of ramming them with darts.

When I tamed my first giga, I used 6 metal Dino gates, in a 2 by 4 formation. Turns out u only need 4. Once tamed, it had 25% melee🫠🫥 and I realized Gigas have horrible stam and stam recovery. Make sure to bring about 200 narcotics and tranq darts, and longneck, 2 large bear traps, and at least 4 metal Dino gates.

Rember passive tame with cooked fish meat it helped me out so much with my 150 tame

With arrows its gonna take alot more, now i've only gotten as far as dart tranqs for the longneck. But im sure with the next strong KO dart or whatever from the harpoon launcher or the other, sure they would work much better withing 200 of them or more, forsure with arrows from my experience you will forsure need about 500+ tranq darts or x2 for arrows

Use billboard to easily tame, this is the easiest resource
