I play on mobile, all i did to tame him was just find a really good spot on a rock where he’ll stuck and stay there kept trying to attack me while i unload all of my tranq darts into him. You’ll need a lot of Narcotics or Bio toxin like A LOT as his torpor decrease really fast, if you bring his favourite kibble and soothing balm you wont have to waste so much narcotics on him

Thinking about taming one of these beasts!

Difficulty 10/10 very hard (not necessarily hard but not easy and time consuming)

What you will need.

A lot of tranqs (1-2k for a 180)

5-6 Metal gates

Large bear trap

30 exceptional kibble (just my suggestion you can use less)

Around 1k extra narcotics

How to trap

Place metal gates in a hexagon like shape with a gate in your inventory

Place a large bear trap in the middle

Get the gigas attention and run like you’ve never run before

After it steps in the bear trap place the gate in your inventory behind it

Taming

Shoot it with tranqs DO NOT STOP

It’s torpor drops insanely fast and is insanely high (probably around 100k torpor for a 180)

Once it is out put all your narcotics in its inventory

Keep your kibble in your inventory and pump a couple narcotics every 2-3 minutes

After the beasts food goes down a bit put the kibble in its inventory and let it eat

Continue to pump narcotics every 2-3 minutes until it tames

Feel like I should mention to only pump about ten narcotics each time and now I feel like that about sums up how to tame a Giganotosaurus so survive and good luck taming survivors

To tame this beast u have to build 4 metal dinosaur gate because giga can't attack it and u have to use ascendant longneck from hunt dire bear and to trap giga use herbivore creature and use it as a bait good luck

How to tame a giga

1-get 4 metal gate way not (behemoth) 3 can work but 4 is easier

2- place the gate way like this |_|

3-place a large bear trap in the middle

4-get the giga aggro'd to you and lead it in the trap

5-once the giga is stuck in the bear trap quickly go put the last piece of dino gate way the trap should look like this □

6-then just ahoot shocking tranquilizer darts ,tranq darts and it should be knocked out

As narcoberries take many seconds to apply torpor, feed them these as a few hundred may stop the ridiculous torpor drain for ten or so minuites.

To make it easier just use forcetame

If you want to tame without the dino gate trap method (specifically on the map The Island as that's where I tried it), make sure you know where all the waterfalls are. Then find a Giga and let it follow you to the waterfall. Make it fall down the water fall. You should be at the top of the waterfall and shoot narc arrows/whatever better option you have. Best to ride a flying creature with high stamina and health incase you get hit by it while you make the Giga follow you (it'll only follow when you land). Best waterfall to do this is the one next to the 2 snowy mountains, along that river up north/northwest ish, as it has both tall sides for it to get stuck in.

If you saw my previous tip on taming and knock out about how I just knocked out a giga, a few minutes after I knocked it out I went to harvest more raw meat for him to eat, when I came back I saw a pack of raptors killing my giga. I shot them all but when I finally got to the giga it was dead.

You can you metal billboards to tame instead of dino gateways saves you alot of metal, just make sure to set them in flat ground doing it on a hill will not work(:

>HOW TO TAME<

I’m a counsel player and me and two other of my friends are playing an unofficial sever where the rates are crazy and we are going to Ragnorok with a griffin I’ll be the one riding it and they are going to grapple onto the griffin and they will then shoot it with shocking tranq darts then we are going to cryo it and then we find another one and do the same thing until we have a really good breeding couple then we will level the baby up to max and hopefully rule the server

Big tip: when you are knocking the giga out, you will see that when you shot all the arrows it takes some time for him to be unconscious because of the tons of torpor that's still raising. I didn't know that while taming one and I had to go back to base and I had to take some more arrows while it was not necessary.

If you have god console: if you knock it out and then increase levels a lot ( which for some dinos work cuz it increase max food cap) for this one wont work that much. I did that with lvl 15 and i made him lvl 150, torpor made from 18k to 500k. Not good idea

This how you tame it you place 3 gates and a bear trap when it gets trapped quickly place another gate and just tranq it

In some Version of Ark you can use grappling hook to grapple on his rips and knock it easy out !!! Its not working always!!!

If one is running forwards you jump in the water and hope the tusos leave you alone.

In ark mobile if you pump too much biotoxin and the torpor goes above the limit, don’t crash. You will freak.

If u have 3 gigas lvl 60 or under n take on a wild lvl 8 u gona def lose best bet at least 4 120+ gigas to take 1 down or a quetz with lots of amo or flame arrows

Giga's usually spawn on mountains, so I find it easy if u lure it to the bottom of a cliff to the point where it gets stuck then you just to the top of the cliff and shoot it with tranqs. The more tribe mates you have the better

Use a stun gun much easier it knocks out after like 1,000,000,000 hits
