ForceTame it
Use electric prod works every time
This is by far the best animal in the game but at the same time you never and I mean never attack or try to attack another wild giga. The wild gigas no matter what level have thousands of more health and almost 3 times the amount of damage as a tamed giga. And even with multiple level 200+ gigas you would not even want to attack one level 10 giga as that the faster the wild giga goes into Rage Mode the faster and more likely you and your whole team of gigas are to die.
Don't fret too much about the torpor decay. It's actually not that bad even though it's scary when you look at it. While the decay rate is incredibly fast. The recovery rate of narc is extremely slow comparatively. So while you'll have to rush it to drop you tranqs, wait until the torpor is quite low (I've been told 100 but I don't trust my lag as much so maybe 1000 before pumping it back up) you'll then have the easiest time in the world to tame it as you'll easily have 2 hours before you need to come back and put him to sleep again.
Make no mistake the difficult part is actually putting a ko on the creature. If you got two player the cheapest way that'll work is to have a person on flying mount hoist his buddy with a grappling hook.
Bring spare weapons with misses and the crazy torpor decay, the estimated number of dart to take him out is wishful thinking at best.
Solo, make 4 metal Dino gate + bear traps.
Bring sleeping bag / bed you'll need them.
If a Giga is what you desire
Then to the skies you must fly higher
Hundreds of tranq arrows and narcotics in your pack
Fired from a quetzals back
A sleeping Giga you shall soon acquire
Whilst the Giga is laid to rest
Waiting for torpor to be low is surely best
Because while it may wake up quickly
It cannot wake if it's still getting sleepy
Don't worry about wild dinos they surely will not test
Quetzal kibble is it's favorite treat
But if it wakes up you're next to eat
So be vigilant during the tame
It's quite the waiting game
But when it is yours you won't be beat
A wild lvl 45 almost killed my Carcha lvl 225. Luckily I was able to escape with 1k HP while bleeding. This thing is no joke.
All you really need to tame these guys is:
1.) A shelf in an island or mountain or wherever you find one
2.) A LOT of tranq darts/arrows
3.) LOTS of narcoberries/narcotics
4.) A decent amount of meat/kibble
First get on the cliff
Then lure it to the base of the cliff
Blow all your tranquilizers until it goes to sleep eventually
Fly down and put food and narcoberries/narcotics in its inventory
Wait, occasionally force feeding narcotics/narcoberries
🚨NOTE: THIS GUY LOSES TORPOR FAST, BE CAREFUL AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH MATERIAL TO KEEP THIS GUY UNCONSCIOUS LONG ENOUGH!🚨
How to tame:
Step 1: Just walk up to one, it's a passive tame.
Step 2: feed it mejoberries.
Step 3: you have yourself a nice, gracious herbivore!
I was Flyin with my tape, cuz i Left my 243 griffin on the mountains,Suddenly a Lvl 150 Giga spawned right infront of me and killed my tames and me
you wil literally have cramps in your finger when knocking out this thing because when i tamed this i used about 200 toxicant arrows and when controlling this by a saddle dont fall from a cliff because it will get stuned
Here’s the best way to tame this beast. Force tame
If u have god counsel, Just put on invulnerability and fly over it, and just shoot over him
Just punch it.
Quit
A easy and cheap trap for this: 4 metal billboard and 2 large bear trap. To make it just look for a flat surface and place the metal billboards in a square. (Give a bit of space for each one) And leave one side open. Then place 2 large bear trap inside it. Just lure the giga inside and close the open side with the last metal billboard.
Jerboas can solo a GiGA, in about 10 hours
In order to kill a giga you have to bring 2 or more tamed gigas
Okay, your only hope of knocking this calamity with legs out is by running it through a gauntlet of tripwire tranq traps while hurling shocking tranq darts at it. I would even go as far as saying just use the about twice as many tranq arrows you would need just because there is no risk of death(lol) and you would have better fire rate, it would just take longer. BUT according to here, this industrial excavator with teeth loses torpor at a ludicrous speed, so maybe if you just made dang sure not to miss, you could forgo the fire rate and use the shockers. Maybe run it through a gauntlet jumping over the traps so that he hits a trap, you shoot him, he hits a trap, shoot, so on and so on… pray to Ark Jesus this works…
