1)find your Giga

2)build the trap with 4 dino gates and posts and 3 large bear traps

3)lore the Giga in

4)place the final gate behind

5)knock it out with a wooden club or shocking tranq darts

6)after knocking it out feed it kibble or raw prime meet

They need to give it more stamina because it doesn’t have enough for PvP

First put large bear trap to stun it u gotta do everything fast after that or u will be turned into dinner take metal billboard 4 and trap him from 4 both sides

Most important advice be on argy then u have to have a LOT of tranq equipment then start shooting using a bow or rifle nice u knocked him hope this advice helped :)

As of July 7 2023 on mobile only they do not Agro on you if you are mounted just don’t dismount or attack it, It will kill you

Bring multiple Longnecks, you’re gunna need them.

Really easy if you have a good crossbow and 3x or 10x soothing balm. Then knock it out wait two minutes and feed them prime meat.

Items needed to kill a Giga: 2 Pairs of Flak armour (2 because just in case one breaks), about 100 medical brews, Shotgun with alot of ammo, crossbow with grapple hooks, and stews (Optional because they increase stats for a little time but I really recommend them): Enduro stew which increases damage, Battle Tartare which increases damage and gives a little damage resistance and increases health regen, Broth of Enlightenment because it just increases xp gained by 50% (Suppose you get 250xp by killing a creature when this is consumed, then you will get extra 125xp) Now to kill it: If you ever find it, and want to kill it, then remember: Always wear Flak armour and bring extra in case it breaks. Then grapple hook at the Giga's body between it's central body and tail, just a little closer to it's tail, then get your shotgun ready and kill it! If your health gets low just in case, then drink the medical brews. Hope this helps you.

If you place down metal dino gate the Giga will be attracted so you can go on a griffin or a clif and keep shooting

He is so hard to tame and needs so many things here is the tips

1:need a fast Flyer to make him follow you

2:make a trap of like 7metal gateways behemoth

3:get him into your trap and make sure he won't get out

4: get your weapon and start shooting him with the crossbow or longneck(i recommend ascendant longneck)

5:after you down him get raw prime meat(the best is kibble and mutton)

And finally make sure you don't make him take sp high DAMAGE because he will kill you

First find a giga

Second lure it to your

Trap third put a large bear trap

Between and tranq it

charcar is better but arguably a harder tame

With the bear trap/ metal gateways, should I put a bronto at the end for it to aggro onto?

They will agro on each other and run cuz if giga docent kill u titano will

I led two of them in a trap at once (without bear traps, just be a man and scream while crapping yourself trying to run around to the back of it and place a Dino gate) and killed the lower level one, and then the high level one never agro to me. Haven’t tested twice yet but if y’all wanna try go ahead 🤷🏻‍♂️

I strongly recommend using a harpoon launcher, one shot tame and you don’t waste anytime, its a one shot with the harpoon launcher.

The mighty giga, a fierce foe to encounter, matching the strength of the dodo. Jokes aside, here is what you’ll need to domesticate your very own giga.

An argentavis

A LOT of narcotics or loads of bio toxin (900-6000 reccomended)

Good amount of tranqs or tranq darts

From my experience taming a giga on mobile, I recommend about 150 toxicant arrows (but grinding the bio toxin could probably be a pain)

Or about 350-600 tranq arrows, bring extras just incase.

4 metal gates for a trap as gigas cannot break metal!!!!

This will be a guide for mobile AND pc/ any other device on The Island.

Step 1: Finding a giga. Gigas can be tricky to find if you have no idea where they spawn. They spawn on just about any of the big mountains you see. This includes: Whitesky peak, Fars peak, winters mouth, volcano mountain, weathertop mountain, And the Grand hills.

Step 2: Trap the giga! This is where things get a little different. On pc, or any other device that isn’t like ark mobile, you’ll want to place 3 gates and kite the giga into the 3 gates. On mobile, you have it way easier as it ignores people mounted on tamed creatures. Simply wait untill the giga stops walking and place the 4 gates on the argy. Be careful incase it gets aggroed to something else on mobile and hits your bird on accident. If giga is trapped, we move onto step 3.

Step 3: begin the knocking out process. Not gonna go much into depth for the knocking out. Treat the trapped giga as a buffed up trapped dino with a lot of torpor and fast torpor reduce. You want to make sure you get headshots if you can, as anything will matter in this part. If giga is knocked, we move onto step 4.

Step 4: Depending on the level, it will need 4-19 exceptional kibble with 60-309 narcotics or 155 bio-toxin. Found this info on the wiki. As for people on the mobile (I have ark on the switch AND on my tablet), you might need more depending on the gamemode you’re playing so consider these rates as a rough draft of what you’ll need. On mobile, it’s preferred food is quetzal kibble. You can use a soothing balm to speed things up though. Make sure to stay on the giga like how a raptor refuses to stop chasing you to make sure it doesn’t wake up, because it will wake up VERY fast.

Step 5: you have tamed a giga! This murder machine may not be able to be used for bosses normally, but there are a lot more uses for it! Uses: Meat harvester. The giga is almost if not the best dino for gathering large quantities of meat, only rivaled by the mosa, the sea giga.

Pvp mount: The giga is one of the BEST pvp Dinos, and for good reason! With enough time your lines can become overpowered! And also gigas have mesh bite im pretty sure. Guardian. The giga will handle most natural threats besides a wild giga itself.Tank, of course, despite the health nerf once tamed, it is still very tanky! Alpha hunter. You can find more fun in hunting with other Dino’s but giga is basically an easy clap.

to tame a giga you will need preferably shocking tranq darts quetzal kibble (mobile) metal gate ways and lage bear traps and bio toxin or tons of narcs and tame helper (optional). step one1 build the trap, you will need 7 metal gateways place them one at front another one next to it but diagonal then place another one to your left on the diagonal gate then go back to the first one you placed and place another gate to the right of you then place another gate next to the one you just placed and in the middle place the lage bear traps and have the 2 other gates in your hot bar (best dinos to use for luring in are galimimus (ik i spelt it wrong) griffin, spino, maybe allo, good speedy raptor or dear) now get on your tame and lurer it in and place the other 2 gate behind it and head shot it if you can then once OK you wait 30 seconds and then pump 100 bio toxin in to it then put the kibble on then pop the tame helper in if you brought it and u will have your self a giga hope this helped!😃

Took about 300 Narcotics, 35 Bio Toxin, and 11 meat WITH A MINOR SOOTHING BALM. Remember that you can’t request these guys home and you HAVE to ride them home. Or go the hard route and walk it home like I did. I found two females on the middle mountain and tamed the LEVEL 18 GIGA. Keep that in mind.

I used a five bear traps and two metal gates, two pointed away from the wall, the gates as close as possible to it, and then led it in with my argy. RIP Grey. But I did sneak up behind it and placed the gate.
