What are tips for giganotosaurus? Tips and strategies for giganotosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Final words of the jammicus: hey dude I just shot that giga with a bow...oh s**t
When making tranqs for knocking out the giga make like an extra 200 or so in case your aim isn’t exceptional or you’re not using any traps
When i wanted to tame one i guide it off of a cliff and it kept running away and looseing all of its torpor so i advise to use a trap or bear trap (large)
I didn’t even need traps to tame it all I needed was a tall cliff and to lure it over on my quetzal then shoot it with around 70-80 tranq arrows (the level of the giga affects how many you tranq arrows you need for a level example: you need 80-90 for a level 68 giga)
Tame some big sea creature to fight him alongside you while you lure him into the water and drown him while using a ranged weapon
Me and tribe found one in a storage box hidden in one of the fjordur desmodus caves and it’s got like 36 k health and 340 melee tbh we r kinda bobs we don’t have heavys yet up if the giga got good stats we’ve never had one before
The easiest way to knock these dinosaurs is to craft a Ascendant long neck rifle and craft 20 - 30 or 10 shocking tranquilizer darts and shot at them from a high distance.
They are REALLY REALLY hard to find beacase only 1,2 Spond at a time not even I have found one stupid GIGANTIC GIGANOTOSARUS yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like the Rex, on Mobile, the Giga will not aggro on a Pteranodon unless attacked or provoked in any way. I study them all the time, just stay on the others and yu’ll be fine 😉
Most beginners are horrified by a giga, but they are hardly the most dangerous thing in the game.
Im taming a giga geez its horrifying🥶🥶🥶🥶 wish me luck i hope me my otter and argy dont get shredded to pieces
If your on mobile and want to get easy levels, get an explorer note and a crossbow with a grapple, if you grapple on to the giga it cant hit you and u can kill it if you have a decent sword, aim the grapple at the hind hips of the giga, i killed one with hard brutal and it was level 365, took a few minutes and i got 4 levels which is a lot for the difficulty i was on and i was on level 53
They dont attack tamed titanosaurs anymore (they used to) so your completely safe on a titanosaur
After the update of summer bash i tried to look for gigas on all mountains even did a pattern starting from the mountain near carno island to the blue obelisk but it seems that i dont see any gigas any more. Does anyone encounter the same or am i doing something wrong?
If your on the new gen2 map these suckers are not as common as you would think I've spent 5 hours only find a level 15 to knock out i fly above with tek suit I dont use traps, there way easier in Rockwell's garden. For a 150 I bring 300 tranqs with a asc longneck and about 100 more shocking tranqs once its knocked put food and narcs in wait for torpor to drop to about 1/4 then force it 800 narcs (for 150) then you shouldnt have to worry about it waking up I use cooked mutton not the best but it works, hope this helped.
Extremely high torpor they said, just build a trap they said, R.I.P is what they say now
Build a trap made of metal. Stone Also works but gigas can destroy stone structures.
Not a taming tip but a lvl1 giga on Ark Mobile does 250 dmg
*Flying over the mountains on an argy, going to get a wolf.*
*Stops for a rest.*
Me: An allo? What’s it doing here? Haven’t seen one of those this high up.
*Telescope time.*
Me: Woah, that’s a giga! I’m gonna tame it.
*Looks it up, finding that it’s way too expensive.*
Me: Welp, it’s a tad close to my base. I’m gonna divebomb it and kill it.
*Divebombs and gets bit.*
Me: Holy... half my argy’s health is gone. I’ll be careful next time.
*Continues to divebomb, and both argy and I become his snacc.*
Me: No! Raven! Nooooo!
*Grabs bary and goes to retrieve stuff.*
*dIeS oNcE aGaIn To ThE gIgA*
*rAgEqUiTs*
Moral of the story: don’t mess with dangerous stuff. Especially the giga. You’ll save yourself a ton of time, effort, and stuff avoiding these overgrown-megalizards.
