Just use four metal Dino gateways and one large bear trap, then put three gateways down one anywhere and then put two more to the side and put the large bear trap in the middle, then get the giga stuck in the large bear trap and run behind it and place the last metal gateway. For the island fly around the snow mountains, volcano, and other mountains. Bring lots of tranqs and prepare for an epic battle. Flyer is recommended, I used quetzal with platform saddle

I find these around Blue Obelisk. This is a tame every Ark player needs, super strong.

Giga can't Spawn in redwoods moutains

A giga is really hard to tame, but with the proper preparation and patience you can do it.

First, stock up on narcotics and either a tek bow if you can or if not just a good longneck and a ton of darts.

Second, find a giga and make a trap near it. You can get 4 behemoth gateways and doors and make a square and leave the front and back door open. And in the middle put a couple bear trap to keep the giga caged.

Finally, use a fast flyer with a lot of health and stamina (probably a griffin or an pterodactyl) and lead the giga in, quickly close both doors (prepare to be hit so bring extra armor and healing) and just shoot away, put it the food, wait for it to tame feeding it narcotics and ta da. You have a giga.

So it seems that incubating giga eggs in the incubator with the correct temp won’t give you the 20% boost like other fertilized eggs. Weird.

Just keep in mind that if a giga (tamed or not) gets to a low enough health it will go into rage mode. Rage mode means that even if tamed it will attack everything and everyone so please be careful.

You know what sucks? Getting Prepared making Quetzal kibble making loads of Tranq darts running to Drops for Free amber(ark mobile) saving up to get the 15x smoothing balm then wasting 120 tranq darts to bring this down SOLO just to forget narcotics/bio toxin and having the gigs wake up😐 I was getting to over prepared that I forgot them and I was so pissed but the Giga is currently stuck so wish me luck

(I've only tested this out on mobile, idk if it works on pc!) If your Giga rages, you can end the rage by doing this: Put your device to sleep, and join into ark again. The giga should be calm again! I once fell off a ledge with my Giga, Giggy, and she raged. I reset my ipad to calm down, and when i came back, Giggy was calm and mountable again! Giggy is fine now btw. I had been planning to turn invulnrability on, but i looked around and Giggy was calm. I hope this helped you and your raging Giga!

It only took FOREVERRRRRRRR to knock out. Jeez. I say atleast 45 min to an hour

Usually I found it to far's peak, u can use the gate trick or to grapple your bird using parachute, put the bird on follow you and medium distance, i tamed one with this method, and 3 quetzals its easier and cheap.

I tricked some that u need bug repelint to tame hand tame they didn’t stand a chance lol🤣

To escape a gigan dump a lot of points in to speed. What? You still cant outrun it? Oh you were supposed to outrun your friends. Not the giga. Throw in a bola too. For your friends, of course.

On singleplayer, you can easily tame a giga with cooked fish meat by:

1. Making sure your giga is knocked out

2. Wait until its torpor is low but not on the cusp of the giga waking up

3. Spam all required narcotics to make its torpor high again (or every one if the amount of required narcotics equates to not even all of its torpor)

4. Place down a bunk bed, sleep, die after you wake up, respawn fast enough to get back your bunk bed

5. Repeat step 4 until your giga is tamed or step 3 if you need to use more of your narcs

6. Enjoy +16 levels if you did it with a lvl 150 giga

Run away quickly before it sees you bc if it does ur done

Just get a crossbow with 40 toxicant arrows, 4000 cinidaria venom, soothing balm (if console or pc use prime meat because they like it more so taming will be quicker) and 500 meat. Then shoot it down and give the balm, give it meat and if you use the balm that you get from hunt raptor it will take 3 meat pieces. This will pretty much work for any giga with 80,000 health or below (I got a 83k in my experience).

Hard to tame without a trap cause it keeps running around. I tried with tranq darts but it kept running and lost all torpor. Even a high hill won't be effective so remember to make a trap.

Found out on fjord there is a giga variant called the “R-Giga”
