U don’t need a lot only 14 metal pillars and a lot of tranqu darts.

If you really want to feck some one up, dont tame it, lead a wild giga into the persons base, it has alot more health and damage.

Fun fact: on mobile, the giga is neutral to tames.

I found this out when i was trying to wipe out some guy's tames in my server with a wild giga but the giga just stood there, and just wandered.

it applies when you are riding mounts too (for example, quetzal, galliminus, equus, argentavis*)

*that one guy who said that their argy ran out of stamina and landed next to a giga, if you're on mobile, that's perfectly fine since the giga is neutral to tames.

One day I was playing a new server It was my first time playing ark so of course dumb old me spawned in the MIDDLE OF A FREAKING MOUNTAIN IN THE ARCTIC and thought it was a nice place. So I made tools and a campfire before dying to a saber tooth. So I went back TO THE SAME FREAKING PLACE and was hungry. So I bonked a mammoth. Little did I know I could’ve bonked penguins, INSTEAD OF BEING MAULED BY 15 MAMMOTHS. Try 3, STILL THE SAME FREAKING SPOT and I spawned on a giant mountain. So I was about to jump off to respawn somewhere when I saw A GIGA. I thought it was a cool T. Rex so I slid down and bonked him with a club I just crafted. Little did I know, that dang thing IS THE STRONGEST IN THE GAME. So I respawned, STILL IN THE FREAKING ARCTIC. I saw an iceberg with 3 allos on it and, dumb old me tried to tame them and I died. So I finally did it ONE MORE TIME. I bonked penguins, made a campfire and clothes, tools, and a big base. I finally started getting far when THE GIGA IS BACK AND ANGRY and ATE MY BASE, MY NEW PENGUIN, AND MY SABERTOOTH. Moral of the story: don’t live in the arctic. Ever.

P.S. 1 like = 1 prayer for Goomba (penguin) and Diego (sabertooth).

Had a tough time finding Gigas at all on The Island, Ragnarok and Valguero. Been a while since I played Ark but remembered we used to tame them on The Center so I went and tried there. 3 hours later I tamed a 130 and150 male. Granted I’m playing on SP but still I was doing the same on the other maps and found next to nothing for days. Don’t waste your time looking on any other map

Well, this one od oo. I bred lvl 437 giga with imprint. That thing is dealing 570%melee!!?

If you’re using darts, bring multiple guns. If you’re using arrows, bring multiple bows. Bring backup of whatever you’re using to shoot it

use your flying pet if you don't have a material to craft a metal gate, or go to underwater and Tame it (note: no hostile water creatures near you)

You can use a quetzal platform to fly above it and shoot it from above preferably with a longneck and tranq darts. Keep in mind you have to be a good shot for this to work

Tamed an R-Giga today, Got me nearly 10 times before i knocked him out safe to say ill never to it again😃

HOW TO TAME 101

1) Find a Giga. Usually in tundra mountains or around the Volcano.

2) PREPARE. The giga won't attack you if you're mounted, but keep a distance! They are fast, high topor and deadly DMG. Get alot of narcotics (jelly are super good since their HP is extremely high), get soothing balm and kibble to speed up the process too. Get a trap (4 metal dino gates or food if you don't have kibble).

3) Persue this sussy Giga! Bring a Quetzal or a Argy for flying transport and a Baryonyx or something similar to use. Land in a safe spot and eliminate any nearby creatures. IF another Giga is nearby, separate the one you want to tame.

4) Trap the giga! Use the Quetzal (or other) and land in a good spot, then ride on your chosen runner. Time this carefully! I suggest saving progress so if you mess up you can start over safely. Once the giga is standing still, QUICKLY trap em with the gates and run to a safe distance.

5) TAME IT! Once in a safe spot, fire the arrows (crossbow highly suggested, bring multiple in case!) and don't stop till its unconscious. Approach, use your chosen food (use kibble or soothing balm) and give it alot of narcotics since the topor drops DEADLY FAST!

Congrats! You've successfully tamed the Giga the Basic 101 way! (ur epic now) Be warned HP and DMG drops, and lvls kinda suck, but still fun to use! Be careful wirh breeding tho...

BE WARNED: If a giga takes DMG, the attack increases. Be careful when pursuing a giga to kill!

You see one god help you and just try to run

For anyone wondering how much damage tamed giga does.If a tamed giga has 100% melee it will do 400 damage.

I had a friend I said I’d give him $100 if he ran away from the giga he did not want the money anymore as I laughed I saw the giga turn to and left my friend by accident just flew away

I TAMED A LVL 145 WITH TRANQ ARROWS AND A MASTERCRAFT CROSSBOW, IT IS PERFECTLY POSIBLE, took me ages and like 520 shots but you can do it if you don’t want to waste a lot of resources, also I used like 200 bio toxin and some raw mutton, good luck people!

Look on ragnorok in highlands theres a lot of mutton there so no need for kibble

60 tranq darts bullshit went through 2 stacks and still didn't go down, it was only level 90 and I had a 483.6% long neck

If you see one near you base and you can't kill it or tame it use a pterodon and go somewhere safe and shoot it to get it's attention and lead it to some where not near you base
