Bring more tranq arrows then you think you’ll need

Fun fact: if your Giga takes a lot of burst damage, it’ll enter Rage Mode for 20 seconds.

Less fun fact: during this time, it’ll throw you off and you’ll be a potential target.

If your Giga is angry, run. There’s nothing else you can do but watch the carnage and pray that it gets its fill within those 20 seconds.

A week ago, I saw a lvl 120 giga. I thought it's just a little bit stronger than a rex and tried to tame it with a mastercraft crossbow and 35 tranq arrows. 35 Tranq arrows. 35 freaking tranq arrows. Biggest mistake in my life.. rip my mastercraft crossbow.

If you are taking a giga DO NOT pick up your trap until it is tamed.

Once you get giga eggs and everyone tells you how much the Gigas eat when growing up don’t listen to them. I play completely solo on official 1x and can raise these things with a Maewing and a tek trough. 1 giga eats about 1 to 1.5 tek troughs every 24 hours. So if you have 2 or 3 tek troughs of raw meat and it’s a juvenile or above you can step away from ark and GO OUTSIDE AND GET FRESH AIR. Also a maewing filled with cooked meat can last a giga through the whole baby stage without the meat spoiling before baby stage ends. So a recap is baby stage use maewing with slot cap of cool meat and then use raw meat in a few tek troughs. Easy raise. I do this solo on official 1x

That moment you start the Thin Air pursuit and this guy spawns RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. Thank God it didn’t aggro on me but on other dinos in sight. I probably was too small for this guy to even notice.

This is for anyone on a boosted server.

If your speed is boosted then all the speed you’ll need to outrun this beast of a Dino is 400% movement speed and you’ll be able to outrun it on foot on land but be careful cause the higher movement speed you are the further you go when you dismount you’re flier. This is after testing it out on multiple ocassions and dieing many times over.

Make sure you go for a high level. Kill all lower levels. I tamed a level 20 and it only had 50% melee. It took 8 bites to kill a parasaur. RIP giga dreams.

Give these behemoths a platform saddle so I can move my tames with a giga pls give them it I would appreciate it🤗

They are found at fars peak and I would suggest building a base there cause they are RARE everywhere I took one on with a assault rifle and a couple hundred bullets and I would have needed about 10.....,00000000000 more

If you are In ascended you won’t need a trap because they almost always spawn in the mesh

This is one of very few dinosaurs we like to call an inverted torpor dinosaur. By this we mean that it's torpor goes down faster than it goes up, you will wait longer for it to go up than down thats why you should let the torpor drop really low then pump it with a large quantity all in one go, this will give you the time to let it tick up allowing you to do other things while you wait.

Don’t try the old torch incubation on this on you will have nothing after trying to make them

For old ark mobile only: The best way to tame a giga like all others, is to trap it with metal gates. You can even do it close to it on a mount really. Just make sure not to dismount. Then, set a tiny camp with a roof on a sleeping bag to starve the giga. Forcing it to eat super fast. Also make sure to use soothing balm with it as well as using big bird kibble. After a few seconds depending on the giga’s level, you have yourself a hugely nerfed dino

For people who want a giga: Gigas require hundreds of tranqs so be prepared!(You also need a trap.) And remember a giga can 1 tap you so be careful,unless your experienced.
