You can just summon a tamed one of these guys at level one million easy one shot boss killer. You don’t have to go through the suffering of ramming them with darts.

With arrows its gonna take alot more, now i've only gotten as far as dart tranqs for the longneck. But im sure with the next strong KO dart or whatever from the harpoon launcher or the other, sure they would work much better withing 200 of them or more, forsure with arrows from my experience you will forsure need about 500+ tranq darts or x2 for arrows

When I tamed my first giga, I used 6 metal Dino gates, in a 2 by 4 formation. Turns out u only need 4. Once tamed, it had 25% melee🫠🫥 and I realized Gigas have horrible stam and stam recovery. Make sure to bring about 200 narcotics and tranq darts, and longneck, 2 large bear traps, and at least 4 metal Dino gates.

As the level of the giga increases, the purpose of trapping it shifts more from preventing yourself from getting killed to preventing it from running away.

If you somehow found a funny hitbox area that prevents you from getting damaged and youre knocking out a lvl 150 giga and think you don't need a trap, youre not gonna knock that out once it starts running away unless you get it trapped.

Trapping them is costly, though you can use Metal Build boards they're hitbox are high enough to which the Giga can't walk through them, place them in a sqaure formation and leave enough room in the middle for the Giga to fit, place a bear trap lure the Giga inside of the trap and swiftly place the last Build Board behind it so it doesn't get out. (Be vary of the landscape, it's detrimental)

If your playing on extinction you can use tarrian to your advantage

To the people who suggested you use four metal gates and large bear trap, etc….no. nope. Absolutely not.

The bear trap only holds for a second and a half, and the giga climbed right over top of the walls like it was nothing. The best way to do it is to get shocking tranquilizing darts, a long neck rifle, and a griffin ( shoot the giga while on the griffin) and get the giga to follow you into a deep valley or ravine and shoot from the top of the ravine. (Ragnarok addition)

To escape the giga, I suggest that you...

1. Run to water, preferably the ocean

2. Swim as far as you can and DON'T STOP

3. JUST KEEP GOING AND DONT STOP UNTIL YOU ARE SAFE

Simply bola and club is all you need to knock it out nice early game tame beware of dodos though as they might kill it

The best way to knock one of these menaces out is by putting 1 lvl into HP then charge with a bat ....hehehe:)

On ume and pc if a baby/juvenile/adolescent giga dies in front of its parents, or it is dealt too much damage in a short time (heart meter at the bottom fills up fully), then the giga(s) will be instantly enraged, dismounting you if you were riding it then roaring with glowing yellow eyes, then if theres any wild or tamed creatures nearby it will get aggressive and attack them with double damage. You will also most likely fall off the giga onto the ground and will probably get 1 shot by fall damage or your own giga then after 20 seconds your giga will be okay but can't say the same about any tames/structures not made of stone or metal nearby

On old mobile though if you ride a tamed giga off a cliff, a baby/juvenile/adolescent giga dies in front of its parents, or it is dealt too much damage in a short time, then the giga(s) will also be instantly enraged, dismounting you then roaring with glowing yellow eyes, then if theres any wild creatures nearby it will attack them and any tames nearby... not set to passive will also follow the giga and attack whatever it's attacking since it technically has its aggression set to aggressive. You will also fall off the giga onto the ground and will have to chase after your giga and your tames. After 20 seconds have passed and you have found your giga clumped up besides it there will be a big mess of tames... that are alive and probably have their aggression level set to neutral or attack target.

If you fully imprint a Giga baby, it’s hp will come out as 30-35k hp, rather than the weak 17-18k. IMPRINT THOSE BABIES
