Odly enough 2-3 wooden gates are enough to trap it but alittle difficult. Just wait for the gasbag to stop wandering and quickly place at least 2 gates in a t shape. I luckily had one in the sanctuary so I could spend more time trying this out.

When a gasbag has any amount of air in it has an 80% damage reduction (same as reaper king). Because of its great reduction, ability to wear saddles, have imprint bonus, eat veggie cakes, and a mate boost, it’s arguably the best tanking dino, but whenever it’s hit it looses a small amount of gas.

Tame a male an female. Commence mass breeding and voila massive quantities of gasbags bladders for the delivery crates

When filled up with air they take 80% less damage

Shoot them in the under belly does more topor

I think if you hit it on its belly or the blue part, it is like a headshot

Use it for tanking. They have something that no dino has is a defense boost it takes almost no damage when shot by a Tek rifle. Just have a high lvl saddle and a Tek rifle only does19 to 40 damage is that op or not

If taming with a friend, gasbags can be held by a ridden wyvern while one of you tranq.

To the guy who said, “these aren’t on mobile so why is there a preferred kibble for them.” They might be added to mobile in the future.

Somehow shots with tranq darts doesnt do as much dmg as it should, so either take some net projectiles with you, prepare for a pursuit or bring a snow owl for deflating this boi!

Torpor is going down very slow

Im pretty sure you can grapple to one of these and tranq them, the same way you can with a quetzal.

Inflated it gets a major damage reduction around 80%

A good one replaces bred weight quetz with high oxy base lv oxygen and speed and it’ll haul similar or more weight far faster especially bred also probably the best tank in the game atm saddle armor imprint resistance and it’s innate 80% damage reduction when puffed all stack..... pro tip: dismount before hitting ground to 100% negate fall dmg allows precise landing by pressing c to deflate.

You can not bola it it doesn’t work

Great for soaking turrets on PvP when raiding Aberration or Gen One bases. It is a flying stego that takes very little damage. The only downside is better saddles can only be obtained in Extinction OSD.

Their ability to just float in the air with gas is OP you can travel easily and get away from most things. I recommend taming this bad boi. Have a nice day survivors!

i get it why this fat boi is in gen part 1. because it lives in the luner map and the map has a lot of space to fly around for this boi!

Just trap them with behemoths and use snow owl to deflate, shoot a tranq, mount the snow owl again and repeat until tamed.

P.d.: And the end, he will start trying to get away and then u can shoot him like 3 times before he inflates again
