After going through berries and berries and berries. Having 3-4 maewings set up. Staying up all night multiple times. Setting 3 snow owls by each one and still losing them or watching them burn through the food like it’s nothing—-
COOKED MEAT IS ABSOLUTELY THE ONLY WAY TO GO!
They eat it WAY SLOWER and you can have multiple babies on one maewing and juveniles and adolescents on only one trough. I have built multiple tel troughs and wasted so much time and resources on building isolated areas and independent feeding areas. Just pick up your dinos and set out your gachas like you would anything else. It’s so simple and everyone sees how fast they burn through food so nobody tries it. Cooked meat, in a maewing and then a trough (always have backups). That’s it. Nothing special about it. I have 8 juveniles and a couple of adolescents out for 10 hours now and haven’t even used a whole tel trough yet. So glad I figured it out finally. Hope this helps.
More Gacha Taming & KO Tips
Just harvest stone and drop it on the ground near them to tame. Crystals and gems work too, but stone works best. Much easier to gather than owl feces.
Don’t waste your tek material trying to get foundations! Just use thatch and it’s the same outcome! So I guess tek=thatch.

Feeding greenhouse ceilings has around the same taming effectiveness as metal and tek structures. Get this added to the calc.^^^^
You can’t tame the Christmas event ones
Carnivores: I eat meat
Herbivores: I eat plants
Piscivores: I eat fish
Omnivore: I eat eat plants and meat
Sanguinivore: I drink blood
Gacha: I’ll eat anything, Even owl puke but for real your greenhouse looks tasty 😋
Gachas are a passive tame creature.
Warning. Using snow owl pellets no longer gives high efficiency. It is only as good as using stone structures.
Imagine feeding them tek structures 🤦♂️
The primitive pick does 0.5 percent…. 😭
learned the hard way that you can tame it with saddles of any kind. specially ascendant ones.
