Just caught a max level 300 last night and she was a female I plan to fully turn her into a dope head and I plan to get a colorful level 300 male soon

Make sure to put it in the behemoth gate in a square to take the grapple to the wall it will transform then wait till it gets smaller then go down to give it more element

Use a net whenever it is angry it will then soon turn back to normal

Use a riot shield and hold your ground. It’s crazy easy compared to the grapples.

There useful in killing gigas + charcha

KO tame is no longer a thing as they won't KO. Took 5 ele to tame a level 15 that immediately anti-mesh died.

Having trouble finding these fellas? Go to the blizzard area on the east side of snow and you have 2 easy options;1. Wear a tek helmet and enable nightvision and creature sensor for easy finds(nightvision darkens screen) or if you dont have a tek helm use rare mushrooms for blindness to darken screen and use a bloodstalker. Tamed Ferox in his small size can farm element dust better than the Tek Parasaur farm

To catch just make small box trap to have them follow you into, feed element, walk out door, wait till small, repeat till tamed.

When breeding they need max addiction level for breeding and only as small form, no crossing or breeding larger.

Food for each mainly element for triggering growth and making it last longer, for trough feeding, meat while large (looks carnivorous anyway), berries for the fuzzy buddy, nuts them up super quick.

Good for temp on shoulder or while ridden, only downside is need of element for the transformation and taming.

Fun ride while large and if you do not use cryo pods, a great extra killer, especially great in caves because it also clings and jump/climbs, oh and the coolest is the rockthrow.

These cuddle bugs are so cuuuuuuuuute, to tame one of these balls of fluff, you need to put element on of your hot bar slots and press the number, then they will turn into BIG BOI STRONG and try to kill you, use a grappling hook or federation tek armor to avoid his attacks, eventually he will go back down to little ferox form and you can feed him again, every time you feed him he gains some more taming progress. Have fun

If you want to spare some element when breeding them heres a tip for ya: Right after you tamed a female she will have 100% addiction but you gotta wait until she can mate. What I do is I freeze her in a cryopod until she can mate and bam you spared 20 Element.

Has anyone ever run into duplicating the Ferox while trying to tame it? As in you feed it right after it transforms and it runs off while you hear a Ferox transform(sounds like it's under the map) and when it's done you suddenly have 2 Ferox's at the same lvl, sex & tame percentage? I'm not complaining or anything but it caught me off guard, as example when I got to the cave on Fjordur, there was 2 lvl 50's, 1 lvl 180 & a lvl 200, I killed of the lvl 50's and not I have 1 lvl 180 & 3 lvl 200's being tamed lol

Use grappling Hook and element to tame it.

Go in ice cave in Genesis 1 and feed him with element and when he rage grapple fast.

But kill all the bears in the cave First.

It also works with a trap.

Spawn in a cave in the east in the Arctic on Genesis. Follow the river straight down the hill and on the right you should see a mission with a hand on it, that's the entrance to the cave these guys spawn in. Only thing that spawns in the cave with them is polar bears sometimes dire wolves come in for a fight but really nice cave.

Tamed my first ferox. it was easy using a shadowmane and saved a bunch of resources making a grappling hook. All I did was feed it and during the ferox transformation I quickly hopped on the shadowmane and went invisible. The ferox was clueless

O was playing on genesis when I went to the snow biome were I was getting pelt when I came across a ferox I said wow a 4 armed jerboa when I looked up what it ate it was a passive te that eats element and cinse my server has boosted taming speed I tame him with a element so I named him Reaper he was really cool when I first figured out his 2nd transformation I was happy we would walk around the snow biome the big biome lunar biome when a reaper king came around the corner i transformed Reaper and he saved me so he got some cooked prime jerky we would fight bosses on the island SC And and EXTNC we would do everything together 10 weeks later I got a notification saying your parasaur detected a enemy me and Reaper rushed home they were struggling to defeat my turrets I armed myself and him with riot helmet and gear so we got 4 of their Dino's until I say a giga and that was the moment I realised I had to let him go so he kept hitting hard making the giga go sicko mode until he died Rip re

Get 20 element, use element near it and RUN!!! Repeat this until it gets to 95% then when it is small again do it one more time and RUN and ones it is small again it will be yours!

Just so that all and anyone who decide to tame a ferox,they sometimes need to be fed 2 element at a time to procede in taming.
