ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion
Tips & Strategies
Ark Logic at its fullest:
Find a nice fasola house, bomb his home until he comes out and is dazed. Then jump on his back and crack his head into rocks until he is asleep. (Knock some sense into him) Then while he is asleep shove meat down his throat until he loves you and will risk his life for you.
Makes perfect sense
If you attach a torch to your belt then fly into the pile of dirt it works like explosives but a lot cheaper.
To knock it out, use any sort of explosive (Grenades are cheap and have early unlock) and throw it at the Fasola while it's underground. It will look like a pile of sand and shouldn't react if you go up to it.
As soon as the explosion goes off, run up to the Fasola and mount it. You only have a few seconds to do this. Once you're on, try to find any nearby rocks/bones/etc and run into them. Every rock you hit will increase torpor and control. If control runs out, you will be dismounted.
DO NOT GO ON CLIFFS !! If the Fasola goes into the air at all, you will automatically dismount and lose all progress. Depending on your rates, it could take a long time to gain enough torpor.
TL;DR : Explode it, mount it, hit rocks, avoid cliffs.

i hope i never see this thing within 100 miles of my base
When trying to knock it out steer it to the salt rocks, they give alot more torpor than normal rocks
Inspired by the guy saying how are you going to ride this thing:
The Faso has a saddle on it's head with handlebars like a motorcycles. A passenger seat that looks like a chain attaching a surfboard to the tail. The passenger surfs on the sand and is able to shoot while surfing
While taming: Do not try to drive into the middle inner land parts. Stay in the dunes and search for Salt Rock groups. Hold your map open while driving, you can see the areas on it. It is more than 10x faster than trying to hit normal rocks at the dunes edge. Also you will not get dismounted with this way.
Fasolasuchus Also Spawn on Aberration!
Update 1: With the addition of the dossier, we now have a better idea of how this thing will be tamed. It appears to be a mix of a “heavy” knockout tame (think kark, titano, rock golem) and a “riding” tame (like equus and ESPECIALLY voidwyrm). The dossier states that you must “soften it up with explosives,” before hopping on and steering it into a rock. Based on this, it appears that the taming process involves using explosive weapons to damage it to a certain threshold, allowing us to hop on its back and ride it for some time. We will then have to seek out a solid obstacle (like the aforementioned rock) to crash it into, likely inflicting torpor on it (it’s immune or heavily resistant to tranqs from what the dossier says). This process will likely have to be repeated until the big gator is downed, at which point it will likely be the standard “feed while it’s down” process. The dossier makes no mention about sacrificing armored tames to it, so this part of the original concept was likely scrapped.
Thank you for reading! Keep in mind that this probably won’t be entirely accurate to its actual release, but it should give a general idea on what to expect.

The type of rock really matters! If you are able to locate Crystal or metal nodes then make sure to hit those as it gives more torpor!
On 1x a 150 takes 16 exceptional kibble or higher variant.
3x is 6 exceptional kibble.
Best method to tame is pre plan your route placing markers on the map for bones, sulfur and salt nodes. Do not hit the rib cages or skulls as they can’t be broken and have a likely chance to push you up and out of the ground which will knock you off of the faso. When you are about to fill the torpor to the max start pushing the controls for jumping and running as there is a chance you will be stuck inside the faso when it falls asleep. I suggest bringing 10 c4 if that’s what you are using and a wyvern on passive. Place c4 then whistle follow on the wyvern and detonate the c4. Repeat until tamed. And good luck everyone
Probably important to note, the rhyniognatha is the last creature coming to ark: survival evolved, the fasolosuchas is one of the new creatures coming to ark: survival ascended. Ascended is not ark 2, it is a remaster of ark, to make the dinos and environment look FAR better and also fix major performance bugs and cross play. There is a real life creature (so like lived at some point or is close enough to a real creature with a real creatures name😂) getting voted in for all the story arks, so island, scorched, aberration, extinction, and gen 1 and 2. I’m still uncertain if the rhynio is for the island, or lost island, because they did the scorched vote, and next is ab so I think the rhynio is the last ASE creature and also the new island creature, orrr they are doing the island vote last or something but the rhynio dossier mentioned dinopithicus so that leads me to believe it’s for lost island.. anyway one of the islands maybe both 🤷🏻♂️
Also someone said, and im paraphrasing I can’t remember the actual quote but “it’s just a dumb croc the spider should’ve won” ok first the “spider” was in the vote as well I think it got third.. anyway it is a “jumping spider” that was supposed to have tranq venom, but it looks like a furry tarantula, it’s actually pretty cute on the dossier… anyway nooo why would you think that should’ve won, hey don’t get me wrong I’m a fan and I’d tame and breed the heck out of these way more than fasolo, but for scorched a furry adorable spider on.. scorched uhh no plus if it was for scorched wildcard would make it a burrowing spider most likely and we would have basically the same creature as the fasolo. But on the other hand, the creator of the creature said they are reposting it for aberration, NOW THATS WERE WE NEED IT! It would be amazing for ab, it would fit in with the bioluminescent area perfectly and they could make it scale the walls! If another entry for ab wins the community is making the ol phantom mistake. (if you catch my reference) or the other creature was really really good, like the best creature ever. But I mean I feel like it’ll get in for ab because one it’s adorable but deadly like it can knock you out wile your fighting nameless (that would suck) and ab most creature submissions are not really aberrations type of creatures but hey we could be surprised. Also I feel like as far as size it should be like just big enough to be rideable like a bit bigger than oraneo, because it’s for taming specificly and I for one like compact but helpful tames like the desmodus.
Ok this turned out to be more about the spider than the fasolo but I mean cmon this big gator will blow over real quick outside of pvp (inside oh ya) but we need more creatures that are useful for pve not just tanky carnivores, problem is big reptilian carnivores look cool so half the voters go off of that 😂 but the fasolo was the right choice for scorched
Also for the bastion beetle fans, I personally don’t get the obsession, but I think it could be kinda cool on extinction and I hope the cryolophosaurus comes back (that’s a real creature right?) it was a great idea it would be cool on gen 1s arctic..

Be prepared for this one. I brought 14 grenades, tent, multiple water sources, and had a buddy bringing extra food and refilled canteens out for me. 150 took me about 2 hours to drop with storms causing me to take breaks. Please over prepare when you set out to tame, this one is not quick.
After the break rock/metal/salt process when it's unconscious tame it with exceptional kibble (yellow)
Use explosive like grenades and hit it when its buried then go in to every rock you see
Suggestion: Faso is able to un-smelt iron by crunching it up. It would have a button similar to the "seed fruits" that the iguanadon has. It would be useful for crafting things that require raw metal, or maybe it would be a decent way to sort metal out. It could also have a special item called "fasolasuchus plates" that would be used on the saddle. The saddle could provide protection from sandstorm, and give the rider a temperature buff.
Seen a few people question the taming process, no it shouldn’t be as bad as the carchar you have to use explosives to knock it out or weaken it or whatever, then you have to ride it and make it crash into a rock. It sounds fun to me

For taming hitting metal nodes with it adds more torpor than salt nodes do
