The biggest butt-hope in the wilderness. If your planning to tame one;

1. Reassess your taming needs

2. Go tame something more easy, like a titanosourus

If you really want one, you’ll have to feed it, jump on its back, feed it while your on it’s back without you getting thrown off. Or it running of a cliff.

If you can successfully tame one just go one-hit KO the Overseer.

I recommend having carrots with you because it takes forever with berries, also make sure there are no carnivores around (because my Equus got eaten).

For people who dont know how to tame them, put the food in the last item slot.

On mobile you don’t have to mount the equus to tame it

These things are a pain in my butt taming these. They just 360-crashed my game at full speed. Up if agreed

It is hard to tame on mobile devices I have not tamed one but if you listen to the quest and use berries and Rocarrots to tame do not dismount after mounting feed one rocarrot or berry to it when it tries to buck you off but taming goes slow very slow but may be worth it who knows

Taming stats here for mobile are WILDLY inaccurate. Says it should only take 14 rockarrots to tame a level 145 equus, but I'm working on a lvl 90 roght now and itxs only going up by 1.3% per rockarrot (aside from the first rising 4%)

Idk abt y’all but mine was so difficult- but here’s how I did it: 1, take an argy and put it in a box (make sure it has at least 2 story walls {learned the hard way :,) } drop your equus into the box, 2. Get on equus and feed kibble/rockkarrot to equus and wait for taming to be done (I don’t recommend using berries you’ll be there a while-) good luck!

In valguero, there are carrots here:

Look at the left side of the map. All the way to the edge. Those are redwoods. Go across the water to the land on the right and thats Carottopia. You know youre there when you see the ruins of a dock. If you go up the path, theres a small clearing where theres carrots. You can get LOTS of carrots there and carrots tame Equuses very fast.

First, approach the Equus. Dont run, thatll scare it. Make sure the carrots are on the slot all the way to the right. Feed it a carrot. Jump onto its back. Feed it another carrot. Itll run around, and whenever it gets angry feed it another carrot. It shouldnt take much carrots to tame it.

You need 45 Mutagen to improve the stats.

It's a passive tame. Go in front of it and knock it out. Then you will realize you can't access it's inventory. So wait for it to lose its torpor and then mount it then feed him carrots. (sus)

So, I learned Recently, basically how to get Mutations and bright colors on tamed is to Inbreed. so if you didn’t know that. (on ark mobile, for me). Hope this helps.

Equus are best for speed and strong exspicalyy high lvl ones 150 is awesome

When taming look in the bottom right hand corner it will tell you when to feed it! (For Xbox use y to feed when mounted) if you trap it and it’s not calming down just knock it and wait until it’s up again to start taming!

Okey the Easy way for taming Is pick it up with a argy and put it in a taming Cage , you can find some in the red woods

Argentavis can carry the unicorn

Just build a small taming pen with 10 with stone Dino gates. 3x2. Grab a quetzal if u have one and drop it in there and u won’t loose it and an easy tame

Put carrots in last slot feed equus once from behind then jump on.. there's a icon on the side of the screen that will light up and let you know when to hit Y on Xbox to feed tame you keep doing that until it's yours simple tame..
