(Ark Mobile) I tamed it by going rodeo with it hahaha,This is how I do it

1. Sneak on it and when I close enough I dash and quickly ride it

2. Quickly feed it with rockarrot to soothe it before it's bucks you off

3. Don't spam feed,give one at the time,if you accidentally double tap two rockarrot it's will bucks you off (it's don't like force feed haha)

4. When it's hungry it's will try to bucks off you again,feed to calm it again

5. Pursuit ask you to collect 5 rockarrot only but I would recommend brought a lot as it's spoils fast and you might need to travel finding it

6. I found it on the way to the volcano on left side.They slightly near the volcano on green grass part

7. There was titanoboa, raptor, titanoboa, pusmonocus, baryonx when I was there so careful

P/s: I don't know if it's effective than other taming method but I have fun this way, I don't have to sneak on it all the time and chase it around towards predators,it's just goes back and forth ( I clutch to it for my dear life hahahaha xD) Good luck everyone if trying it xD

The equus' kick will instantly destroy any bee hive. I always use them while taming a queen bee, all you have to do is spray bug repellent on yourself and your horse. Then kick the beehive, dismount and feed the queen bee rare flowers

Here's a proper way for getting early versatile mount on mobile, first, get something like raptor (to actually find an equus)

Next you wanna do the hunter cave to get a balm, but I prefer Saving the balm you get from piranha hunting pursuit xd

At last, get some rockarrots(Trike/Stegois the best for it. You can try farming using a medium crop plot too, they're pretty common in loot drops) and start the pursuit and go searching for them

I find "the forest near the soo called volcano mountain and the whole area around green obelisk" the best places for finding equus

Wherever you find them, just soothe them with balm then feed carrots and you got yourself a very versatile mount

I literally kill every single equus in rage after trying to tame one.

Use him to drag unconsious or consious players, and creatures smaller than the horse, with the lasso, use it only as a travel tame with the addition of its mortar and pestle on its saddle, if you want add points on Melee damage for more torpor with the kick attack, spend points on weight, health and movement speed, -stam is pretty easy to regain, use rockaroots to tame press green triangle, Y, or E depending on the plataform once it starts going crazy while riding it.

Why did no one tell me you need to be at least lvl 10 to be able to tame one? Yeah, you need to be at least lvl 10!

I was taming one of these things, and I decide to count the time between each feeding on mobile it was around from seven seconds to 41 seconds for anyone that’s curious most of the time it was in the 20s

(This is approximately so it would probably be different for you)

My Equus was a pain but I got it by my argentavis

For mobile players I found it easy to just pick these up with an argy drop it off at a safe location or a built trap and go from there. (They will run off when dropped with argy be aware where you are they like going into the water)

u might find one at redwoods

if you dont see one you can just kill other dinos so one can spawn

I recommend rockarrot for taming them it tames faster

1. Build a 4 by 4 wooden wall or stronger (not thatch)

2. use a arventavis to pick up a equus

3. put equus in the pen or chamber what ever you want to call it

4. then just equip rockarrots

5. then do the rest

They like to die a lot. Don't feel bad if they died by a carno or spino. They live life on the edge.

I know the pursuit says get 5 carrots, but you need lot’s more.

Make sure that you do not have your spyglass in your hand when hopping on the Equus. If you do, it will make you auto-look through it and you won't be able to put it away. You won't be able to see the feed prompt and will be kicked off. This just happened to me on a 150 Day is during x2 -_-

I'd say building the pen is best bet but why these gotta be so hard?Also how do you feed it while riding?

Lazy Equus have a power rating (Power of KO and Speed) closer to 1. Whereas Swift Equus have a power rating closer to 3. You can find them using the pursuit or looking on the right side of the map (yes the whole side of it). They are only difficult to find sometimes because they run when attacked.

You want to go to the sw island a go with to tame it be careful there are a lot of things to kill u I don’t think they want us to find it

Just tamed a 290 with 100% effectiveness. It wasn't actually hard this time since I've learned how it behaves when I tamed a 40. I'm on mobile, so just keep your finger over where the rockcarrot is in your hotbar. When it's hungry a pop up will come exactly where something has spoiled pop up comes. Let it come every 40 seconds or so and tap on it once instantly. Yeah it could be a tedious process to keep the focus.

I'd suggest using a soothing balm to shorten the time and use your argy to bring it some place safe where you'll tame it and wear a ghilie to get close to it.

Please let others see. It's actually very easy to tame a higher level one without losing any effectiveness.

On the ps4 you have to hold down triangle win it tells you to in the bottom right side hopefully this helps
