Essential tame. When it's in its shell, knocking it out seems almost impossible.

Bring back up tranq arrows if you run out of tranq darts. I spent 116 tranq darts trying to knock one of these guys out and ran out quickly and didn't knock it out,

These guys need triple tranq arrows/darts than what it says because I was trying to tame a lvl 55 and I needed 40 tranq darts and 31 tranq arrows. Be Wary!

If you do not have kibble and have to crop tame.... use carrots. Same taming efficiency but takes less time.

If you have cheats or slot of time PUMP move speed to Max and you are a bowling ball

The doey DOES get obsidian. It sucks for metal tho

On PS5 you cannot feed the equus when mounted for whatever reason, if you press triangle again you dismount it doesn’t let you feed or if you press L1+left on the d-pad you eat the carrot yourself and you don’t feed the carrot to the equus? I’ve had to go into creative mode and forcetame one to actually have one. Not sure if it’s a bug but just letting it be known.

You can no longer carry them with argent. I had to ride mine to my base in the southern islets. I also had to go with my argent and pteranodon flying behind me. Not fun.

Survival guide: doedicurus

Stats:

Health: 450 to 1250

Attack: 12 to 90

Speed: 5 mph

Behavior: doedicuruses will stay peaceful, but if attacked, they will aggro on you. No, they don’t bring their buddies.

Taming: I recommend making a trap that is 2x2 for the ground, and 1 wall high, and a ramp on the outside. Put a ladder inside, to escape.

Steps of taming:

1: find a doedic

2: lead the doedicurus into the trap

3: climb out with the ladder

4: shoot it with arrows from on the ramp

5: feed it mejoberries/longrass

6 make sure nothing walks in or damages the trap

Can get you lvl 90 to lvl 93 in 4 hours if you have a grinder

Build a small 1by1 window frame house out of stone and then shoot out of a window

Here’s an easy trick for taming. Try to throw some gas grenades to increase it’s torpor

Use mejoberrys better they tame faster that way

If you have been wanting a high lvl and it's doubl everything don't waist the kibble, feed it half way with stimberries, then feed it mejoberries. It gonna come out exactly what the lvl of the doed was but will the less time and don't need any kibble, which you can use on another doed.

After you get it knocked out if you dont have the time too wait for it use stim berrys it will take the taming effectveness down significantly but it's food goes down and the taming goes up as it eats them it can shave an hour or more off the longer berry eating tames.

Fly on pharadon to mountain (not ice) look around for doedicurus (small round ball) stand on a rock above it and shoot it with tranq arrows if it tools into a ball don’t shoot it will take too many Arrows to mock out just wait for it to come out then keep shooting it.
