The dodowyvern (similar to the other wyverns) is immune to the breath attacks, but unlike its lesser counterparts, it’s immune to all of them. Best way to bring down the dodowyvern is to use heavy turrets and a trap. NEVER fight it on a slow ground mount, it can either one shot you off your mount with a poison breath, or melt through your mounts hp with its lighting breath. It spawns anywhere on scorched earth at 12 am during fear evolved, and disappears when the sun rises as 6 am. It has 666k hp, a hoard of zombie wyverns (which can be claimed once the dodowyvern is defeated), and is the strongest “mini boss” in the game.

Recommended equipment:

Gas mask (mastercraft or higher, have multiple if one breaks)

Any other high armor gear

High damage pump shotgun, mainly as a last ditch effort if the turrets aren’t enough

Strategies: leading the dodowyvern into a trap with multiple heavy turrets ready to melt through its hp, most common and successful method.

Fighting it in the air with wyverns (why would you even try this?)

Fighting it with rexs in enclosed spaces (the wyvern trench)

The zombie wyverns are generally just wyverns with a cool skin, they can be claimed once the dodowyvern is killed.

Trapping it:

The dodowyvern is HUGE, so you’ll need a behemoth gateway, so pretty much, just use a sized up wyvern trap. Lure it in with a wyvern, preferably a lighting wyvern to avoid taking damage from the lightning breath. Once in, ready the turrets and light it up with an unholy amount of bullets.

Defeating the dodowyvern will grant you three skins, the dodowyvern helmet, vampire eyes (which can also be acquired with the “cure all” achievement) and werewolf skin.

Misc: due to its immunity to wyvern breaths, the dodowyvern is immune to most modded attacks, due to them often using wyvern attacks as a template, meaning modded dodowyvern are among the most op creatures, atleast until hit with melee attacks.
