Lvl 1-10 dodo use your fist to knock it out. Take your time since they are slow walkers. If the dos is a high lvl then use 1 tranc arrow, if that guy is a rebel then use a punch after that dart and show him who is boss. After have a narcotic just I case and a stack of mejo (purple berries) then while waiting think of a good name like dodolerious and take that fella home. Dodo tend to have low health even at high health so protect it while walking back to base, if you have an flying Dino, pick him up and drop him close to base. Good luck everyone!

Place these next to the outer walls of your base. If explosives are used to destroy the wall, the Dodo will die. Then you can look in your tribe manager and see who broke into your base since one of your tames was killed. Also useful for their eggs to make pteradon kibble.

Dodos are best to be tamed as a food source, as they lay nutritious eggs in short intervals.

Find a good level dodo and you may use al lot of weapons to knock it out. For example- slingshot , club and a tranq arrow. Before you knock the dodo out have 20-30 berries. Only berries that feed things and do not make it lose health or make it pass out. Basic kibble, crops , mojo berries, and berries are things you can feed them. Take you weapons and hit the dodo a few times do NOT keep hitting the dodo while unconscious this will kill it. Out the food in the inventory and wait I few mins. Shortly after the dodo is yours! Name , feed , and care for it!

If you get a high level one it can beat a lv 5 sarco

be sure to kill the dodo with a spear so u can get hide
