For preparing to tame this terrifying creature here is a list of things I recommend 2 sets of tek gear, 2 ascendant longnecks, 5000 shocking tranqs, and 1000000 mutton.

I tamed my first dodo by knocking it with my wooden club. Then I gave it an azulberry and Banda boom I now have it

Smack it a few times, feed it at least 20 berries and try to tame a low level one, I tamed a 115 DODO, and it looks 5:00 minutes, tame a high level one if you please, but I would suggest taking it somewhere else and not next to a Carno

Those who said they tamed bunny dodos stop lying me and my freind knocked one out stuck every peace of food you could possibly make or harvest its untamable

Love these thing I had a lot when starting ark so for new players this is the dion for you

1.Tame high level ones.

2.Breed them until they only have points in health, damage, and stamina

Do this until reaching level cap (mobile default is 1000)

3. Get around 100 of these.

4. Let them attack a Giga.

5. Question your live.

I have several taming steps for being a pro At ARK and this is my first one, hope you enjoy. ;)

1. Gather at least 100 berry’s

2. Make a club (4 wood and 15 fibre)

3. Keep on hiting dodo until KO

4. Put berry’s in dodo

5. If unconscious goes under quarter, feed narcoberrys

6. Name your new friend

I suggest you bring a bola, to bola your friend and run

Since this is generally a first breed for new players, I’ll put this here: to hatch an egg, drop it near a fire pit. Once it hatches, you need to claim it, or it will die. After doing so, add berries to its inventory and manually feed them till about 10% maturity. After that, they can eat on their own.

Useful as fertilizer generators, food generators, and they’re easy to tame. The most useful reason though is the bombs, always bombs.

Just make a farm and get dodo eggs

Apparently you can ride them at 2.4x size. Google it

Dodos are actually very good as a starter tame. They can make dodo kibbles (if you are on mobile ore switch) you can tame pteranodons which can make you travel ANYWHERE. Plus, they are good carnivore distractions when you are trying to run away from that raptor pack that invaded your thatch house and settled down there to wage war on you...
