You need a bat and some berries to tame. You can also use your fist to knock out a dodo, but bat effective. This is the starter dinosaur for taming.

Lystro (Normally 3x in the pen per day, costs 2 cementing paste

Mesopithecus (Normally 1x in the pen per day, costs 4 silica

Of you tame one of These you will not regret it, but these Things are very Hard to tame, I prefere using chain bolas, and before that building a Metall trap.

Dodo is very valuable as the first tame, it can be used as the first storage and dodo eggs (kibble) helps a lot to tame the first and fastest water and sky tames and the first awesome defense tame - mesopithecus, which also helps to knock out future tames

Because it's not being stated, it seems ONLY Ark Mobile let's you ride the Dodo. So there you go now I have crushed your dreams as others have crushed mine... no ZombieDodo Rider Clan....

How to tame

1 attack the Dodo until it says "unconscious put food in inventory to tame

2 put berries in it's inventory

3 while you are putting berries in their inventory wait until the taming bar reaches 100

When I had 4 Dodos 1 was killed by a Sarco the rest killed the Sarco I'm really proud of them!

So dodos suck but if you keep breeding them then you can get a army

Dodos are almost completely useless, but they are great for beginners to get the hang of things. Even if you know this right from the start, a dodo is probably one of the best first tames if you just want a companion to take along. Oh yeah, and they can mate and make eggs, which I'm pretty sure makes food (if you don't hatch it that is).

This is for ALL animals especially dodo's they can eat out of a trough when they turn juvenile (for the rest of thier life)

Recommend having a Dodo Farm for all the beginners, I’ve made my first dodo farm and it hasn't Failed meh In Dodo kibble, speaking of Dodo kibble, Pteranodons love Dodo kibble, if you want an Army of high level 150 Pteranodons, THEN MAKE A DODO FARM, you need 3-12 dodos, A thatch structure (If your Poor) And a Food trough filled with Berry’s. And after that, SHABLOOM Prepare to dominate the server with high level Pteranodons by your side.
