Diplodocus TLC idea

After the Pelagornis and the Carnotaurus I’m now gonna do this thing. Which it’s pretty obvious why this thing needs some tender loving care. It’s ugly, can’t attack anything, it’s knock back does nothing, because it doesn’t do any damage. So here’s what I would add.

Model:

Make it have more mass, add some muscle on them. And make them more colorful. I think they should be decently colorful in green and blues, fits there tone and concept.

Taming:

This guys are found in the redwoods with a herd of Stegos. Which will attack you if you attack the diplo. It’s gonna be a passive tame, where you feed it.

Attacks:

I would give it attacks, a stomp, and a tail whip. Though to still keep the vibe I would make it that it can only attack IF it’s attacked first.

The main ability:

That’s all good but nothing that would make it truly good. I would give it a passive call. This call makes anything smaller then it passive. Then I would give it a buff call, which would improve the health, health regeneration and would lower the damage taken all by 10%. This call would also weaken other people’s tames, in all those categories by like 10%.

Another ability:

I think I would give it one extra thing to make it completely worth taming. I would say that this is the most intelligent of the sauropods. So it can gather prime berries. Berries but they have better taming effectiveness, like a crop. But easier to gather as the diplo only gathers the best berries.

And that’s what I would add, with all of that it would make this thing actually worth taming without being too overpowered.

Who else thinks they should have a platform saddle?

Who else thinks this should have a craftable mace that can attach to its tail allowing it to do damage. And we need a platform saddle for it, paracer gets one why can’t diplodocus?

This dino should have a whip attack that stuns creatures and have the headbutt attack able to knock into the ground and deal damage and give them trampling attacks because the helplessnes of these guys is just sad

Not my favorite tame only thing that I find useful is if I’m moving a lot of material it can carry a lot and still move fast but that’s about it. I think it should have some sort of whip attack with it tail doesn’t have to do damage but maybe could be a good silk collector idk just want a little more from it to get more use because it can easily be replaced by any other Dino once you progress in the game. I know people might not agree just my two cents

I feel so bad for these guys (or gals) because all they really can do is push but it’s kinda good for travel

You can protect yourself from a herbivore if it’s wild so don’t tame if herbivore attacks you!

If your looking for hide, this is your thing to kill lemme tell u why

1. They can’t fight back but don’t try attack them on a cliff…

2. They produce like 100 hide with a metal hatchet

3. They don’t have that much HP

4. They end up running away after like 1400 hp gone

Fun fact, this is the only creature that can be passively tamed and knockout tamed!

They should atleast be able to trample damage more creatures that are smaller than it like raptors. Sadly it can only trample damage ants and meganuaras.

These guys should have a tail whip attack like the whip weapon, it basically scares off other animals and does lots of damage

Fun fact, the tip of diplodocus’ tail can reach a speed up to 30 meters per second that’s about 100 km/h (kilometer in hour) on average and the 14 ton creature could reach a speed over 20 now you know. 😁

to the guy who said no it doesn't need a platform saddle and damage man seriously it keeps getting killed in the redwoods by terror birds and carnos who don't do crap to paracers well, dododex isn't an official platform so the devs will not be likely to add the platform saddle but atleast they should not make terror birds and carnos to not aggro on them

These dudes are right up terrible because when you feed them berries they just whip you (without damage) for not hurting them.

It’s roar should be superior and it should take some damage.
