The Arks: Over Heaven (by Ben)
Chapter 42: Filler
âYummy,â Loki muttered as he took a bite out of his steak. He and Mr. Mo was sitting at a large table that was situated at a pavilion. Many other residents of the snowy settlement were also eating, and all the food had been prepared on a giant grill created by Dr. Aston. Using the plentiful resources of the north (one reason why Mr. Mo settled here), they managed to mine plenty of oil and metal, allowing them to build a fabricator.
Surrounding Loki were many troublemakers, troglodytes, and terrorizers of the innocent. They didnât have much going for them except bothering others, and hurting people. Although there werenât many of them at Terran High, they were still plentiful.
âThey only turned to Mr. Mo because he was an adult. They had no one else to turn to. Back at Terran High they hated him just because he did his job. Even though THEY were the ones in the wrong,â Loki thought, taking another bite out of his steak, âI wasnât a Grade-A student. Or a role model like the valedictorian Aurora, but, at least I had something going for me.â
Loki solemnly took a drink from his water jar.
âIâm a little mad that I canât finish the last chapter since Iâve been brought here. Maybe Iâll find another way to finish it some other time.â
As Loki ate his food he looked at the blue Obelisk which hung over the mountain peak. It looked so ominous and forebodingâŠ
âI know what youâre thinking,â Mr. Mo whispered to Loki, âBut Iâve never seen anything like that before.â
âIf youâve never seen anything like it, do you think we should investigate it?â Loki asked.
âNo, probably not. There could be lots of danger at a place like that. Weâll have to master the tundra before anything else,â Mr. Mo stated, âWhich will be difficult due to the lack of crops.â
As the two eat, Mr. Mo laughs a little.
âAhh, I find it funny that you of all people are the one I like the most here in this place. The kid with the worst grade in all of 12th gradeâŠâ
âHey donât bring that up man!â Loki shot back, flustered.
âAw Iâm sorry Loki, yaâ know I didnât mean it. Youâre a smart kid, Loki. Iâm glad youâre on my side.â
Mr. Mo clenched his fists again.
âYou know, your stories remind me of somethingâŠâ
Loki stared at the implant that was engraved in Mr. Moâs wrist. He didnât know what it did, nor did he know what the implant that he had did. Everyone else did something. Brad could blind people and some other kid could extend his nose whenever he told a lie (something he thought was really cool).
But for some reason, Loki and Mr. Moâs implants didnât really serve a purpose.
Darkness soon began to consume the tundras, as the Sun dipped below the horizon. Everyone begins to head off to the cabins to go to sleep, and Loki is last, watching the expansive, snowy plains with wonder. Off in the distance, a pack of wolves roam. Loki smiles at the sight, a reminder of his past stories engraved still in his mind.
With that, Loki headed to bed.
The tale of the shadow phoenixes
Chapter eleven.
Cole could hardly wait for the switcheroo to end. Not only did he want Arianna back but also his toes were hurting. It was clear that Tabitha had NOT been taught to dance. She continued to step on his toes with her heels. And the worst part? The worst part was that she didnât realize she was stepping on themâŠor she just didnât care. Finally, mercifully, the switcheroo ended and Cole caught Arianna.
The ball finally ended. Tom danced with Leah all night long(except for during the switcheroo). He walked her home, still holding hands all the way. Leah seemed like a very nice girl and she liked to talk with Tom. âYeah, I find Sirens very strange. Do you think they are real?â Leah asked. Tom shrugged. âI wouldnât doubt it, after all of dinosaurs are real why canât Sirens be?â
Finally they came to Leahâs house. âWell.. goodnight Tom. I enjoyed our time together.â Leah said sweetly. Tom smiled. âAny time.â Tom replied.
Once Tom reached his house he quietly crept past his parents room and his Jennyâs room up to him and Jamesâ room. He opened the door and closed it behind him. âYouâre late.â James said. Tom looked up to see his brother lying on his belly in the top bunk reading. âAnd YOU are supposed to be studying. I already finished studyingâŠmostlyâ Tom said smugly. James placed his bookmark carefully in the book, muttering something about âpoor Aurora, sheâs so lonely.â. âI am.â James said, pointing to his desk. Tom looked at the desk, where a shadow sat reading a book about magical fungi and plants. Tom sighed. âYou know that youâre not supposed to use your power like that.â
James smirked. âYeah, but nobody knows soâŠwhoâs gonna tell?â James asked. âUm⊠I knowâŠso I guessâŠme.â Tom said. James frowned. âYouâre such a tattletale Thomas and to think youâre gonna be a king.â Suddenly they heard footsteps in the hall, heading toward their room. Tom ran over to his bed and opened âmagical creatures and where to find themâ. James disappeared for a brief second and appeared right where his shadow used to be. Someone knocked on their door. *Knock, knock* âcome in.â Tom called. The door opened and a young girl about ten years old stuck her head in. She had long dark red hair and brown eyes. âMom asked me to make sure that you two were studying and were home from the ball.â Jenny said. âOkay, thanks Jenny.â James said. âBye.â She said, beginning to shut the door. Then she stopped and ran in. She hugged her brothers goodnight. âGoodnight.â She said, the hurried out the door, closing it behind her. âWeâd better head to bed.â Tom said. James nodded. âOkay, you donât tell mom and dad about me using my power to study and I wonât tell them about you staying out past our curfew to hang out with Leah.â James said. Tom blushed but nodded. âFine. Deal. James disappeared again and reappeared on his bunk. âGood night.â
âGood night.â
Hope yâall are enjoying! Iâll be working on the next chapter!

Under the waves: chapter nine
The megachelon surfaced from the water, moving silently to the light blue sand shore. Almost as soon as they settled down, an enormous red crystal wyvern with a skull atop her head landed, fuming. âWhat did you do? Do you know the danger you just put us in?!â She roared. âCalm down, Queen Ruby. It had to be done.â The megachelon said coolly. âYou just told one of the strongest of the others the prophecy that they shouldnât have been told untill they learned their powers.â Ruby snarled. âThe portals have been open already, and creatures from the different worlds are already going through. They should be prepared.â Said the megachelon. âAnd what about the other? Trench, was his name?â The queen hissed, inches from the megachelonâs face. âHe is part of the prophecy as well.â The megachelon said. âThey will find each other, and they must know why the humans are hunting them.â They continued. Ruby snarled in response. If she was a fire wyvern, you would be able to see the smoke pouring out of her snout and ears. Suddenly the megachelon pressed theyâre eyes closed, scowling. âWell, I canât stop you from doing it. If I killed you, the entire isles would fall into chaos. But it wonât be as easy as you think it will be.â They said, taking on a more hostile tone. Ruby gave a sly grin. âThatâs the annoying part about your powers. You know what Iâll do to you before I do it.â Suddenly, Ruby was latched onto the megachelonâs back, nipping at theyâre spinal cord. The megachelon hissed and bucked the queen off itâs back, before nipping her wing. âYou knew this would happen eventually, slate.â Ruby said. Then, before slate could even blink, queen Ruby had slit a wide, bloody smile across slateâs throat.

Chapter 14 ~the cave of the hunter~
âTh-they ARE carnivores.. GET THEMM!â The amargasaurus yelled insanely, the sea serpents slithered away on all fours and the avians flew away as fast as their wings could carry them, the amargasaurusâs spikes glowed orange and shot out at the group, near-missing them and setting the forest floor aflame. âThese guys are fast, for sauropods!â Nash said. âYes they are!â Skyla said. âHow do we lose em!â âUmm, OH yes now I remember, the amargasaurus are afraid of the caves!â âWhy?â âThey believe the artifacts are the prized possessions of some great predator or something!â âWow these guys just keep getting kookier..â they continued fleeing for a couple minutes until Seascale said; âthere! a cave!â They fled towards it as fast as they could. âOh NO you d-donât!!â The amargasaurus yelled, he shot a spike at them and it hit right next to Seascale, blasting fire at him, âAgh!â He cried, his men immediately slithered back to him and carried him into the cave under heavy fire. âAHGHGSHSGISHSNAGZGAHAFAGAJAGGSJAVAYAYSBSFGAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!â The lead amargasaurus yelled, then he bashed his neck into one of the other amargas for no reason..
âNow what? We canât go back outside, what do we do?â Nash said. âThis is the cave of the hunter, it has two entrances, but weâll have to go through the entire cave to get to the exit..â Skyla said. âOh lovely..â Nash said. âWhat do we do about Sseasscale? He needss medical attention, severe burnss and a cut,.. he may bleed out..â a sea serpent said. âThere are some herbs in this cave that could help, but they are further in, do what you can to slow the blood flow then we must move.â Skyla said. âSo what dangers await us in this cave?â Nash said. âSpiders and bats mostly.â Skyla said. âWhat bats? Big or little?â Nash said. âHmm bigger than us.â âHuman or gigantopithicus sized?â âUhh human.â âOoh not good my friend Jaxz told me tales of that breed vicious rabid creatures.â âYes pretty much, how about the bigger ones? Are they dangerous?â âOhh ya, well usually, my friend Jaxz is actually one of them and heâs a good bat, canât say the same for any other desmodus Iâve met..â âhmm maybe Iâll have to meet this âgood batâ someday.â

The Obelisk
-Chapter 32-
They had been traveling some time.
A day had passed since they found the rune, and Runheimr towered over them, glistening with mossy redwood trees that looked taller than any plant Forest had seen so far.
The sack felt heavy on his shoulder as they climbed down a small slope, clawing carefully acrossed the loose rocks in the ground.
âThis is where my journey ends,â Needles said, stepping down the slope. âI wish you the best of luck.â
âYou really have to leave?â Rust asked nervously. Forest felt the sameâhaving a giant, age-riddled Velanosaur with them was actually a bit comfortingânothing would dare attack someone so menacing.
âYes,â Needles said ruefully, nodding his spiky head.
Forest fumbled with the sack to pull it off his shoulderâbit Needles shook his head. âYou can keep it. Maybe the scrolls inside will be useful to you. And you need something to hold that rune.â
âSo now what?â Spark asked.
âFind your fifth carnivore,â Needles began. âComplete your mission. One of the scrolls has Peeriâs prophecy written outâit will help guide you.â
Forest bristled with excitement. A prophecy! A real prophecy, about themâhe couldnât wait to read it.
Crimson coughed, and they all turned to her. âErm⊠good luck to you too, Needles.â
âApparently we could trust him after all!â Rust exclaimed, elbowing Crimson in the side. âYeah, good luck on whatever your doing.â
âGoodbye, little heroes.â
As Needles slowly stomped away, the juveniles all glanced at each other.â
âUmm,â Forest stammeredâ now whatâŠ?
âLetâs go!â Rust roared with enthusiasm. He bolted for the Dark, looming Forest that whispered with noise as if filled with secrets. âWoo-hoo! Runheimr, here we come!!â
Filled with excitement from his friends radiant glee, Forest followed. âTo the fifth carnivore!â
âWhich we have no idea who it will be!â Crimson added, a bit scornfully. She ran after them.
âI always wanted to see this place!â Spark roared, catching up.
As the four carnivores jumped for the forest, they had complete forgotten⊠that eyes may be watching them.
Watching their every move.
But not here⊠surely.. where Needles had said it should be safe⊠right?
Ok, So Iâm the person that submitted the name âDorpâ, Iâll tell you a story about my Diplocaulus, Dorp, So I was mating my rexes and raptors and decided I was gonna get more mating partners, so I went to the swamp and looked for sarcos, a Kapros, and Barys, and instead of them I found Dorp, so I knocked him out and tamed him, he was a level 81 after training him, so since I know every carnivore is hostile towards Dorp I level up his health, after that, All, Kapros, Sarcos, And barys in the swamp came swarming around me, so I did what a normal person would do if they found themselves in this situation and killed of with a pump action shotgun, but of course a stupid frog killed DorpâŠ. 1 up = 1 Friend diplocaulus for Dorp⊠Ty for reading,
