To raise baby put blood and meat in maewing then it wil eat Every 7 minutes with out blood in maewing it eat evry 30 sec

It can turn invisible at night and while it is latched upside down during both night and day. Every time it bites a creature, it adds blood packs to it's inventory, making it good to use to tame bloodstalkers. It collects tons of spoiled meat when it eats corpses making it also good for narcotic farming. It has echolocation which allows it to ping all nearby creatures, and finally it has the ability to dive similar to the griffin and snow owl. It's tamed passively by putting blood packs in the last slot of your hotbar and letting it pick you up.

Put lots raw meat in maewing when raising babies. Do not use blood packs or cooked meat. It will starve due to the cool down timer on blood packs.

A 150 is about 170 blood packs on 1x offical

To Tame it you mite need blood packets

Use a daedon on passive to increase taming effectiveness. Has much higher health, heal rate and a saddle which allows it to easily tank lvl150 bats

With the medical stand you can farm blood packs to tame it with simply attach it to a high health creature and make sure to remove before it dies this way you can start with a high level even if effectiveness is still challenging

I haven’t seen anyone mention anything about babies but they eat raw meat they won’t drink blood the blood packs. Hope this helps

When the des drops you and you have parachute active shoot him with heal beam from tek pistol to give 100% tame effective UP THIS IT WORKS!!

Find one single it out have blood bags in last slot of hotbar have plenty of parachutes let pick you up drops you parachute down rinse repeat

you can use a shild while taming the desmodus. He will still pick you up, but the desmodus won't be able to damage you.

They can be found In the cave near the emerald trench (the canyon with green colored crystals and hexagon rocks) follow the trench all the way up and there will be a cave with spiders centipede and onic (smaller non-rideable bats that can give you mega rabies so maybe bring cures) after you go In use a spyglass or if you have one a snow owl to look for them try to find a low level so it wont kill you and you don’t need as much blood then put the blood packs in your last inventory slot and get it to attack you and pick you up rinse and repeat until tamed then use that one to get blood and tame a higher level. Babies won't eat blood packs while you're offline. I've lost two babies this way.

As no one mentioned this at all the effectiveness goes up depending on the HP of the tame you are "feeding" it I find daedons are the best way as they have a high health stat

For anyone else seeking answers in future. Its normal desmodus taming method. Either keep blood packs in inventory and let it pick you and eat those.

Or put a bunch of sleeping and keep feeding yourself to it.

Tip: dont summon it in open with wild dinos. You wont get much attention and it will keep losing effectiveness.

This thing literally picks me up when I was away from my screen. Luckily I had enough heath and it was just taming while it was caring me around and stuff so I suggest just standing where it’s at and just let you carry it away but if your health is not over 1000 then don’t do it.

1) get good armor so it’s attacks don’t kill you

2) get a bunch of blood packs, dying and respawning with full health is faster than healing it all up

3) actually find one, recommended is a spyglass o and a good weapon or a strong tame to take out the bugs in caves, I usually go to the emerald trench and look for them on the ceiling in the wide-open cave

4) Find a good level and kill its friends. Shooting it with anything will get its attention.

5) DONT ATTACT THE ONE YOU WANT TO TAME! instead, let it grab you and eat your blood packs, this raises the taming bar

6) be careful not to take fall damage, and repeat the grabbing and bam you got a Desmodus!

Use a megalaina to increase its taming effectiveness make sure to put some lvl into the megalainas health works like a charm moshops work to but found megas better

You don't need blood packs to tame a Desmodus, you are the blood pack yourself. Just pack 3 beds and sacrifice yourself to the low level Desmodus so you can have blood packs for higher levels.... or just do it the normal, painless way.

Pretty important to note that in order to receive the extra levels for efficiency you need to "feed" it a passive small creature before/ during the taming process. Each time it feeds on you it loses efficiency I don't know what tame is best used but I am using a Moschops and it is working well.
