As of right now on Tuesday 6/14/22 they use less blood packs then the taming calculator says, I would still bring more then needed though about 80/120 blood packs for 130-150 tames, once you tame one just using basic right trigger atacks on wild dinos will get you blood packs back for more desmodus tames!

If you carry enough blood pack you will accidentally tame them all. lol guess ive got an army now.

When encountering you will want to stay a ways back. It will probably have a far agrro area so you will need to stay back and shoot it. It will likely be with onycs to so you will have blood loss and tons of angry bats. It will reside in caves and will be like a vampire bat so watch out. It will stay away from but it may be stronger than the onyc so it leads me to believe it may fight titanaboa cause it is the apex predator of onyc so the desmodus will fight it cause the titanaboa thinks desmodus is onycs. There

I love the design on this the Desmondus it has an echo location ability and can turn invisible in the night. It should be able to pick creatures up. I’m very excited for its release

Desmodus, along with any fjordur and lost isles exclusives are not on the switch edition despite their saddle being unlockable, spawn commands don’t seem to work to spawn them either.

To get at %100 effectiveness and max lvls gained tame a good lvl moschop pump nothing but health put blood packs on the chop let bat pick up the chop not you it will gain effectiveness but not tame % once at %100 then let the bat grab you while having blood packs on you to tame it up this to help pretty easy tame start with low lvl to get lots of easy packs for higher lvl

If you have a bronto or other berry gatherer you can pair them with desmodus to get infinite narcotics

Desmodus can fly (obviously),it can go invisible, it’s rideable,

It can sense blood maybe, it can pick people up, it may be able to hang from the ceiling in caves.

Tame high lv desmodus and lvl speed and hp and THEN you can steal some wyvern eggs at night.

i have looked at the youtube tier lists for fjordur and this is always at the top! i would argue but still good mount.

Just tamed a mated pair and I used a high level ovis with all points into health and I found that if you start the tame then let them grab the ovis several times to get it to 100% effectiveness then let them grab you to finish the tame. If you let them grab the ovis first they will slowly lose effectiveness as they're grabbing you, so it's best to get them mostly tamed then up the effectiveness and finally let them grab you to finish the tame

This might be modeled after an onyc based off the fact they are both bats but it might be tamed like a blood stalker cause this may be a vampire bat. It will likely reside in dark areas and it’s enemy would be titanaboa (like onyc)

It requires maybe 5-10 blood packs for a level 1-5

You don't need to sacrifice a creature to get taming efficiency up; just put some blood pack in the dino inventory, it'll save a lot of hp on the dino you're letting the desmo play with.

Also this seems to be faster efficiency gain than just letting it eat a dinos hp, needs a bit more testing tho.
