Defense Units cannot be tamed through normal gameplay and require a force-tame command or a taming-enabling mod, which may cause riding or movement issues. They are relatively accessible targets that provide useful materials and experience, including resources used to craft an Enforcer. Engage them from a distance with ranged or Tek weapons, stay behind them when possible, and prevent them from reaching your tames or structures. Keep away when they are defeated because their explosion can cause damage, then safely collect the resulting Element.
